Well what can I say. We have visited the beautiful island of Crete many times and are always pleased. Both South and North of the island. BUT, staying at the Lia, Koukouras apartments has got to be the best yet!

There is wi-fi for the rooms, but you have to pay for it. And when we visited Koukouras, it did not work. In the lounge area/reception the wi-fi works well, you just have to ask the password from the staff. And it's free.
There is a public transport bus from Iraklion main bus station to Chania, the cost is about 15 euros/person. And then from Chania you'll take another bus to Agia Marina/Kissamos- area, that's 3 euros/person.

If you stay in this area. The Kri-Kri restaurant cafe bar is a must.
