Perfect beach for everything! Both for snorkling, relaxing, playing around, swimming and even eating😄 I can really recommend this beach, especially for its clear, clear water and great and smooth sand. Furthermore uou can get really good and cheap food at the beach by its tavernas. And easy to park, but you have to have your own car for going there.

Falassarna beach is located 59km west of Chania & about 17km west of Kissamos at the western base of Gramvoysa..

Large, wide and sandy beach with super clear water!! one of the best beaches in Chania. It’s so popular tourist destination.

Umbrella is 8 euros, free parking near by. We are staying in Kissamos about 25/30 minutes by bus.. There are 4,3 stars hotel & studios , Villas apartments to stay close by.

We have been here 3 years ago..and hopefully will be back again..

Clear water, table service...heaven! Try it off season...like this week! Not a lot more to say other than give it a try...11am onwards is the best time to visit...we were there for around 5 hours and it started to get busy after 12pm.

Easy to find/reach, has a big parking and facilities. Has chaiselongs & umbrella sets for a fair price. There are several snack shops on the beach and some of them also serve on the beach. The beach is clean and wide. The water is crystal clear. One of the best beaches in Crete. Has free wi-fi ;)

We are a family of 3 and stayed here in April so the place and resort were very quiet. We loved the apartment, comfy bed, very clean, good wifi but also a huge balcony where you can hang washing and also sit and enjoy the beautiful sunsets. Perfect. Free parking. Restaurant downstairs (good food and service) and also another a 5 min walk down the path. Also the beach is 5 mins walk, lovely sand, interesting rocks. The ancient town archaeological site is a 10 minute walk away, but this was closed when we stayed. You can see a lot of it from the path.Good birdwatching in the scrubland/veg growing areas along the path from the hotel. There is also a cashpoint outside the hotel (fee). Washing up liquid and scourer were provided, shampoo & soap. 100% recommend this place for value for money.

(I am posting my review from August 3, 2015 here since Hotel have opened this new page n 2016. Please see reviews also for "Falassarna Beach Hotel" when looking at this Hotel)

Last February I booked in this Hotel a room for two days in July for my boyfriend and I.As I saw t that the place was a bit far from the nearest town I specifically booked a "studio with sea view" room, which came with kitchenette, refrigerator, sofa and balcony with sea view with the idea of using these facilities. On the first day we arrived at 2.30 but the room wasn't ready (check-in at 2pm) so they asked us to wait 10 minutes for the room to get cleaned which we didnt mind. It was literally 10 minutes. The surprise was that the room given wasn't what we booked but a simple double room with two beds and bed for a baby which occupied most part of the room. We dont have a baby. The Hotel is run by a family so I spoke with the mother-wife and showed her the receipt from booking with the features of the room. Smiling, without any apologies and doing like she didnt understand English, she said that it was the only room available and that the only solution was to see if the day after was another free (considering the check out time and cleaning) I had to through away the food we brought with us. We were quite upset so we went to the beach to relax as we didn't want to spoil our day with that but when we came back to the room we realised about the poor conditions of that room, which should never have been offered to any customer at all. To start with, the room had a strong smell of smoke (tobacco) which made very difficult to sleep at night( I am a smoker). The window of the bath hadn't been cleaned for years. The toilet had drops (we wanted to think it was water), the sheets stained and with holes, the only light in the room was the one on the ceiling, there was no table in the balcony and one of the chairs was broken. Anyway it was not possible to be on the balcony at all as there was a strong smell of drains which was enhanced by the heat. All far from the beautiful pictures we saw on booking. At that moment we didn't want to stay there for more time so we called booking to cancel the second night but the reception of the Hotel was already closed so they could just send an e-mail. We woke up early and waited at 8.00, when the reception opens, to explain to the lady that we wanted to leave and cancel the second night telling the reasons and that we would pay one night and for the price of that (filthy) room and not what we were supposed to pay. She suddenly understood very well English and said we had to pay both nights for the whole amount and in cash as she didn't know how to use the card machine she she was alone. We said that we didnt have cash and suddenly she knew how to use it. she failed to show us a list of prices and offered a discount of 10 EUR. At that point we decided to leave without paying until booking solved the situation. The Hotel advised booking that we didnt showed up to get the whole cancellation policy and leave us without the option to write a review, but after dealing with Booking and send the pictures of the room they apologised and said that the Hotel crossed the line and left up to us dealing with the payment that we considered fair (implying if any). We were very upset not only for not being offered what we booked, or having to stay in that unhealthy room (number 6) and had to book another hotel for the second night somewhere else but above all, it was how that family dealt with the situation like nothing happened, like if that was normal and like if we didn't have any rights. They just didn't care at all. I wouldn't recommend this Hotel to anyone, but not only for what I have explained, but also because in addition to all of this, we didn't realised that to get to the Hotel you have to cross a mountain with a small road in "S" form which makes you think twice to go downtown to get anything. The beach is beautiful but is better to stay in the nearest town and then go in the morning to the beach. It will also be cheaper and is not well connected by road with Elafonissi and Bossa beaches as we thought. Fortunately no all the Hotels are like that. In the one we stayed in Santorini they even gave us a present as we connected quite well and we said goodbye with a hug.

This place is incredible! Such a lovely family who run it, with quality clean rooms overlooking the most beautiful unspoilt regions of Greece. You will never find anything like it! The food was amazing all tradional cooked with their local olive oil. Andreas takes care of the customers at meal times recommending all the freshest dishes of the day. I would try his home made wines. They are high quality and compliment the amazing food. He will sit and talk at your table making you feel so welcome! If you are looking for a peaceful spot with dramatic landscapes, swimming by mountains with wild goats then this is the place for you. The hotel has a 5 star feel at a bargain price and has incredible views across the sea. I'm def going back and feel I have made real friends here. SIMON
