Nice and clean place, conveniently located next to the park. Rooms are nice, clean and have great sitting area. Unfortunately sound proofing is poor, so room upstairs are preferable if one do not want to be awaken by people walking in the middle if the night.

The McKinley Chalet Resort is close to the entrance of Denali National Park. Our room was good sized and was a short walk from the fire pit area. The rooms are in buildings scattered around the property but the walk to one of the restaurants and some shops was easy. It's a longer walk to the registration area but there...

My husband and a friend stayed here because the rest of the Resorts, hotels, are closed this time of year after the "Tourist" trade stops coming after September 15th. But there is an Annual Denali Park State Lottery for local residents. Well, let me tell you. This is the second time he had stayed and it still hasn't changed. The rooms...

Thank you for your feedback regarding your recent stay. I'm so sorry to hear that you had a less than great experience. Our goal is to provide an enjoyable visit to all who stay, regardless of how they travel to us. I'm sorry that our housemade caribou burger and french onion soup were not to your liking. We will review...

The resort property is huge. We stayed in the "new" Canyon Lodge building, which was very nice. Rooms were well-appointed. An efficient shuttle system carries people on a circuit around the property. It is an easy walk to the also new "Denali Square," which has an excellent casual restaurant and several shops. We also utilized the laundry room, of which...

There are not that many hotel options near the entrance to Denali National Park. I was not on a cruise tour (nor do I ever want to be on one), and my party was an independent party. I had requested 2 beds prior to arrival, but I knew from speaking to Westmark hotels that I needed to call the week...

It's interesting to read the different reactions on this page. Let me start by saying I’m a single traveler and not a big hotel person. I mostly stay in humble B&Bs, but my stay was part of a Princess Train package, so this is where they put me. That being said, I was delighted with the property and my room...

Good room rate for shoulder season (mid-Sept) . Great views. Short walk to Denali-Healy tourist strip. Good restaurants in lodge. Room was clean, had all needed amenities. Close to Denali National Park. Worth the money spent.

Our stay at the McKinley Chalet Resort was part of a HAL Land + Sea Journey. HAL has this trip down to a science. Check in was seamless. We left the ship and boarded a bus for Denali. When we arrived, a HAL representative boarded the bus and delivered a packet to each traveler containing information about the resort and...

Centrally located, this resort with its rustic décor is fun. Much of the activity centers around Denali Square. We stayed in the Canyon Lodge and it was great. There is an excellent shuttle system between the main lodge and the other lodges and Denali Square. The only downside was that there was not WiFi in our room. Plenty of places...

There were four of us, in 2 rooms. We really weren't sure what to expect when we booked this location. Apparently, there are two "towns" around Denali Natl Park that have locations for rooms, restaurants, and shops. This is the town nearest to the park entrance. The other town is 8 miles away. The shops, activities, and restaurants feel like...
