The Vamos Traditional Village was the highlight of my family's stay in beautiful Crete. Quiet streets to walk, friendly people and close to Chania and the Mediterranean beaches. The village house had two bedrooms, living room and full kitchen plus a walled in patio out front where we sat every evening to listen to the cicadas, drink excellent Greek wine... More

My family and I stayed in Agroulida 2, actually considered a guest house, rather than a villa, but it felt like a villa to us. A very lovely, quaint, somewhat rustic (in a good way) and traditional-feeling home. The main room was spacious, with one sofa/bed, and a second twin bed on an elevated platform, perfect for the kids. My... More

Vamos village was a like a heaven for us: a multi-generational family with elderly and small children. They took care of everything, like a larger car, airport transfers, finding us the perfect house. We rented Villa Xefoto which had a stunning view and pool overlooking the mountains and valleys and was spacious and comfortable – not that we ever really... More

We stayed in a house called Gerani 2. This traditional house in old Vamos has two bedrooms, a large kitchen, two bathrooms and two terraces overlooking the valley and mountains. There was water in the fridge, the house was well cleaned and I can't think of anything to complain about. The service from the women in the office was perfect,... More

Such a welcoming, charming, efficient and personable experience! The team at Vamos Traditional Village were incredibly helpful throughout, helping us find the perfect villa, car rental from Chania airport and all the bits of advice one needs to make a holiday ideal. Always prompt in response and efficient from the time we first contacted them while still in the UK.... More

The rooms at Vamos are scattered around the village. Mine was brilliant! The village itself is small and self contained with the best food i have had for a a long time in Greece. There are places to pass away a few hours on the small square and the village itself is interesting to explore. The two ladies in the... More

We stayed in one of their upgraded villas for 80€ - very spacious, clean and comfortable beds, clean bathroom with shower (with curtain), sink with plug, plenty of hot water day and night. Warm welcome at the tourist office where you booked in and paid. Lovely village to wonder around in. Local tavernas very good for a very reasonable price... More

An unspoiled, natural village, a wonderfully romantic stone-mill house that had everything in the aesthetic AND the practical sense, and extremely warm and personal service, almost 24h (sorry, Kleio, I hope that won't make your nights shorter because people will take my word). And of course, the miracles of Crete that has to offer everything you can ever wish for... More

I sleepily stepped out of the tile floor wood panelled bedroom onto the roof terrace and into the sweet crystal clear sunshine of a September morning. Light powder blue sky above and picture postcard village of Vamos below nestled under a distant mountain range. I was reminded of the Atlas mountains in Morocco but without the arid heat and dryness.... More
