The apartments have stunning views across the bay and the palace ruins and up to the Gorge. They are spotlessly clean and have evrything you need; we were suprised by the wifi connection in such a remote place = worked perfectly- and although we didn't use it there was TV with a multitude of international channels. AC was in the...

This is one of the last places in Greece that you can find professional service and true hospitality. The location was perfect for us who wanted peace and quiet. The room was naturally cool (we did not use the air-condition even when the outside temperature was 38 degrees C), we stayed at out veranda most of the nights because this...

This is a difficult review to write as the hotel was okay but something didn't click. Rooms small, odd layout, spectacular veranda view ( best part). George the proprietor is thorough but not a warm fuzzy host for such a small place....which may have added to the cool vibes we got there. Kato Zakros is lovely, quiet, meditative, and of...

There are very few places where you can sit on your veranda and see a beautiful bay, a Minoan Palace and a spectacular Gorge. Add sunrises, sunsets, shooting stars and starlit nights, a handful of welcoming, traditional tavernas (supplied by their own organic gardens which you can walk amongst) coastal walks and no shops! This is a very special place....

The 'Kato Zakros Palace' is the only accommondation with a full gorgeous view on the lovely bay. The owner George and his wife were very friendly and supplied us ervery day with fresh fruits and homemade cake. All...

Our balcony had a view of the sea, the Minoan palace and the gorge!!! We will never forget the starry nights, the crickets and...

The area around Kato Zakros is wonderful if you like to be as far away from the crowds of the northern coast & its airports as you can get. This what i did in 2001- looked at the map of Crete & chose K.Zak. Loved it straight away & returned in 2012 to work out some walks for my group...

I can only remember from this place the view from our balcony when I accidentaly woke up in the dawn. It was one of the best I have seen in my life - Apart from romance, the room was very good value for Money, the owner was more than helpful and the place is a great shelter to explore the...

I stayed here for 4 nights in October 2012 and was going to stay for two more but was shouted at by the owner George on the 4th night, when I asked him for some help with the TV. He was really aggressive and would not leave the room. He may come across as nice and up until that point...
