We booked a room at the Great Danes for my work Christmas Party on Saturday 3rd December. As the price was £129 for a double (not including breakfast) we were excepting good things. Unfortunately this was not the case, our room was cold and had a draft coming through the bottom of the door all night, it was very tired...

Stopped at Great Danes Hotel over night with my girlfriend as it was a friends Birthday plus we were going to Leeds Castle for the Christmas Market. The staff are very polite and accommodating. They had Christmas Parties booked in the restaurant but made sure we had a table for dinner. The food was exquisite, the service was quick and...

6 of us stayed here before holding a baby shower the next day. We got lovely huge rooms, comfy beds and so much space! We could not get hot water out of the shower Friday eve or Sat morning but it came out of main taps for bath... we did let reception know about this. Staff were all friendly and...

Have just attended a 60s themed Christmas lunch .The hotel setting was lovely. and the ballroom attractively decorated. The entertainment was very good. However the food was a great let down. Tepid soup. Dry turkey, curled at the edges. Very salty potatoes and undercooked cabbage. The carrots and stuffing were o.k. The cheesecake had a strange texture and would have...

Third stay this year. Large comfy bed, nice outlook over grounds and lake. A little too warm in room so turned radiator off for duration of stay even though quite chilly outside. Breakfast good most mornings, on last morning bacon had been standing for a while and was somewhat leathery, and not much of it in containers. Breakfast staff great....

My partner and I stayed here over a weekend and that was enough for me to not bother considering it again. Half the staff seemed completely disinterested in being there, some where quite friendly. The rooms were dated and cold, the beds were as if made from rock, the bathroom cramped and uncomfortable. We turned the heater on which practically...

Not a great experience, booked a premier room with a 'lake side view'. Dropped our bags into room and headed for the swimming pool ect. The pool (which is very small and cold anyway) was half out of bounds due to kids swimming lessons, the jacuzzi and sauna out of order and waiting to be fixed. Staff not able to tell me...

Stayed here for 2 nights. Staff at check in very good and professional . Room a good size but had a double and a single bed in it which made it difficult to access the radiator. But possible bedding good quality with a high bed, which for my preference was too firm. Room was clean, well lit and well appointed....

Good location, comfortable rooms and the spa facilities were lovely. Also an excellent breakfast in the morning. All the breakfast staff were courteous and very helpful considering how busy it was. We found all the staff to be very nice and nothing was too much trouble for them.

Wife and I stayed one night for a short weekend break away from London. Staff were friendly and helpful, ordering taxis for us. they had good local knowledge that was really great. Room clean, access to gym was an unexpected bonus. Great value for money too. Would definitely recommend
