Didn't realise it was half term so pool & dining areas were populated with a lot of kids. Fine if you like kids' noise & antics. Meals were expensive for what they were, burgers, steaks & pies. ( we were on a package and the allowance didn't cover any combo of 2 courses.) We have been doing short breaks packages...

Having read some of the reviews we were slightly worried but it was a really nice break. We stayed in a privilege room which was really spacious and you got all the extras like robe, slippers etc. The pool, jacuzzi and sauna were all really nice and nice chairs around the pool to relax. We had steak for dinner and...

It's ok. Nothing to write home about. The room is pretty basic and it does what it says on the tin. I didn't like the lay out of the buildings at all. It's a maze. I think they need to pull it down and start again.

Stayed for a two night spa break. Upon arrival did wonder what we had let ourselves in for as the hotel does look a bit dated from the outside however looked on the bright side and glad that we did. Although slightly cramped the twin room was fine and had everything we needed including tea and coffee facilities. I agree...

Whoever appoints the staff at this establishment deserves a gold star as do all the staff with whom we came in contact. So often the big hotels with suited "health" facilities -swimming pool, gym etc are bland & lifeless; the Great Danes is not. Eating in the brasserie is pure delight - stimulating menu, good food, cooked promptly & served...

Stayed at hotel numerous times. Food on this occasion was better than expected and apart from a long waiting time would've got a 10/10. I had the blue burger on 2 nights which was lovely. The reception staff are absolutely outstanding and I would like to give a massive thanks to Lee who always goes above and beyond. The breakfast...

On arriving at the hotel the reception was welcoming, however when we checked in our reservation was changed (We booked this in November 2016 to attend a friends 40th birthday held at the hotel) We had booked a family room plus a twin room as there were 5 of us in the family, When we booked in they said that...

We arrived for a one night stay for Valentine's Day. We were early and were told we could use the pool before check in at 2, but we decided to visit Leeds Castle and returned at 2. The reception staff were lovely, helpful and friendly. The room was lovely and clean and the facilities (tea and coffee in the room,...

A large hotel that is pretty average but has very thin walls. It may be interesting to hear what is happening in adjacent bathrooms but not desirable. Not helped by drunk noisy guests ( on a Thursday night ) getting back to their room at 1am. For the money, I think that there are probably better choices

“Only problem was that the thermostatic radiator valves wouldn't shut down completely so opening windows to get air meant the room became hotter and hotter. Otherwise an excellent venue & facilities. ”
