Very basic but exciting place for birders since hotspots are so close by.This is the cheapest ($150/night - huge splurge for us) of Canopy's four lodges. The well maintained house was of historical interest due to being built for canal building and dredging workers. Now the neighborhood is privately owned homes. One tiny barely visible second story sign identifies this...

Overall this was a nice place to stay, but we felt it was overpriced and there were a few problems. The staff were great; for example we arrived and needed a bird book, so they went out and bought us one for not too much money. They were also very friendly, and breakfast was served according to when we needed...

This is a superb B&B. Clean, comfortable and with a great value quality/price. We are bird birdwatchers and found this an excellent place to stay while birding around Gamboa, Canopy Tower, Pipeline Road and other outstanding birding spots. It’s located in a quiet neighborhood very close to forested areas and lots of birds can be seen right from the lodge....

A friend and I spent two nights here. It's a lovely vintage house in a small neighborhood surrounded by rainforest. Very nostalgic for me as I was an "army brat" who encountered quite a few places like this one way back when. Spotlessly clean in all ways, fresh, crisp. Our top-floor room (#4) had twin beds (mattress unfortunately a bit...

I find it a bit difficult to rate this B&B as there were things we really liked and some that things we didn't. All things considered the balance swings to the positive side of the scale for us, but that may be different for others. Related to the price, I still give an average overall rating. Positive: - nice location...

The accommodation is good and live in house keeper, though doors close at 9.30 pm, breakfasts staggered so...

We stayed here for 4 nights and were very comfortable. There was highly effective AC in each room, the common area was bright and welcoming, and the breakfasts were very good, with several hot options each morning, served buffet-style. You can request an early cold breakfast between 5 and 6am, or a hot breakfast after that. The staff was very...

This B&B is wonderful. The place itself is a travel in history. The staff are highly accommodating, serving us early breakfasts so we could be birding at first light. The upstairs rooms are far better and worth the extra cost. While the staff knew little English, they communicated well. The public area is very attractive and we used it constantly.

The Canopy B&B is one of 3 properties in the canopy report family, 2 of which are located in Gamboa. The b&b has pleasant, clean rooms and a friendly staff, though English is not well spoken. The breakfast is fine. And you'll see lots of birds at the backyard feeder. The common room is cool and comfortable. The canopy tower...

After three nights at the extraordinary (and pricey) Canopy Tower we transferred here ($7 added onto our canopy tower bill for the transfer) for two nights for a more economical alternative. After three nights at the Canopy Tower we knew what was around and in fact the B and B is a lot closer to some of the best Canopy...
