I was there for a night. The staff were not friendly. I have booked for a queen room, but i got 2 single bed room. Try to ask the staff, she refused to answer properly. The room has got stinky smell, most probably from the carpet. Cleanliness is OK. Wifi connection is super slow

This hotel is located near the Bayan Lepas International Airport which is very convenient to air travelers. Parking is easy and close to the building. The plus point of this hotel is the room which is large and spacious. The cafe is easily accessable and the prices are reasonable. You must try their mi goreng sotong......The serving is huge and tasty. Front office staff are helpful and friendly and for the present room rate they are charging, it is worth for a second visit. We found bed bugs in two of the rooms we were assigned. The management failed to respond, apologize, or in any way make sure we well or taken care of. We suffered bites, an allergic reaction to the bites, and psychologically scarred from the whole experience. To share the total experience we will start at the beginning. The initial experience started with the inattentive staff, they were talking amongst themselves rather than greeting us upon arrival at the check-in/reception desk. They forgot our passport on the copy machine and failed to return it until asked about it. They then all laughed about it rather than apologizing. We were surprised to find the hotel name, address, and room number on the metal room key, a definite security concern. We were also concerned that we could not find a safe in the room. Heading up to the room, we found the hallways somewhat messy, and a room service tray sat outside a room down the hall (the tray was never removed throughout the duration of our stay). Upon arrival to the room, we were surprised to find the room cleanliness very lacking, there was hair all over the linen and in the bathroom. The bathroom shower was missing a shower curtain, only the curtain rings hung on the crossbar. Signage in the room was worn marked by previous guests. Areas around corners and molding, and under the bed were littered with food particles, fingernail clippings and more hair. Later in the evening as we were resting in bed we started to itch. We then noticed a bug crawling toward us on the duvet. We immediately jumped out of bed and killed it. We were terrified to identify the insect as a bed bug. Further inspection of our beddings confirmed our worst fear, the room was infested with bed bugs. Upon notifying the Front Desk, they questioned us about bugs in the room, and asked that we show proof. Luckily we already documented the issue by taking pictures of the bed bugs we found. It took them a long while to figure out what to do with us. They finally informed us after what seemed like ages that they would be moving us into another room, and made it seem like they were doing us a favor because it was an “upgraded room.” We were surprised to find, when we received the keys, the room was right above our previous room. The room was exactly the same size and setup, but had a newer television, and a better frame around the bedside mirror. We quickly scanned the room, and found the dead carcass of a bed bug. We were beyond freaked out, not only did we feel unsafe about the standard lock and key, we were further terrified by being surrounded by parasitic bugs, itching from their bites, and being taken care of by hoteliers that seemed more interested in watching videos on their mobile phones and engaging in conversations amongst themselves. After returning to the front desk, they informed us that the only other room had double beds, and was the only other room. This room was larger, but suffered, and was less clean than the previous two rooms. Peanut husks and other food particles, as well as dust, and who knows what else was under the beds. I found a rusty safety pin on the floor between the two beds. Behind the nightstand was filthy, and the telephone was not plugged in. The bathroom bidet was missing a nozzle, one of the body soap containers was half full, there was old water in the hot pot, and we could not even plug in the ancient television that was in the room. The television had a C type power cord, not the G type that is used in Malaysia (there were no C type sockets in any of the rooms we visited). I asked to speak to the manager, but was told the manager was unavailable, even though the receptionist said he spoke to him/her regarding the incident. I asked the receptionist to inform the hotel manager that I would like to speak to him/her, he said he would relay the message, but as the following day was Sunday, the manager would not be in. I asked for a follow up call or message when they got in on Monday. I have not received on at time of writing this (Monday Late evening). The hotel stay ruined what was to have been a relaxing, fun getaway in Malaysia. We returned home exhausted from lack of sleep, stressed and anxious about reactions to the bites, as well as the possibility of the bugs or eggs being trapped in our luggage or laundry. This was more of a horror movie than a vacation.

It has to be my first one star hotel to stay in. A very dodgy hotel eventhough it had security guard. People staying here often come in big group. The entire place smells like the cleaner watered it with floor cleaner. The carpets stink and it definitely needs a major revamp. Such a lousy experience and would only consider staying there at the very last option if there’s no longer a hotel left on Penang island

stayed here since i have wedding to attend at TH hall. if not i wont book this hotel. staff is friendly. sajadah n Quran provided in each room. aircond functioning well. water heater also ok. thats all the good things about TH HOTEL. other than this is terrible. booked this hotel thru agoda. already mention for early check in. arrived at 12noon they said room not ready. will call me once room is ready. 2pm only deluxe room ready (btw i booked for 1 deluxe + 2 junior suite). the junior suites ready at 4pm!! old fashioned furniture even tv still the box shape. but i dont mind that. BUT there is no iron/ironboard provided even in JUNIOR SUITE! fyi junior suite RM2++per night & that rate is not budget hotel rate but why the facilities here so poor??? worse than budget hotel. i call reception for iron & they say each floor has iron room. no iron to hotel room. feel like living in hostel...queing for iron...1 small iron room with 1 iron only. i stay at level 4 (all 5 floors) & the iron broken. i told the housekeeper & even to their head but they just advise me to iron in 3rd floor. so terrible! the pillow also thin n soft. overall if not because i have wedding to attend here i wont book th hotel. not worth it at all. standard room at least costs rm150 but facilities not good enough. sorry i dont have much photos coz nothing to snap actually 😂

Me and my wife stayed at this hotel over a weekend to attend a wedding in Penang. We were quite sceptical since we read many negative reviews about the hotel. But the hotel turned out to be not that bad.. Yes, the hotel is a bit old with limited facilities. Location-wise, it is far from the main attractions of Penang Island. It took about 30-40 min drive to get to the city center and Gurney Drive area and a bit longer to Batu Feringgi. But the hotel is just 5 min drive to the airport! Yes, there are iron stains on the carpet in our room but we can only blame the guests who didn't used the iron properly. How could they left a hot iron on carpet is beyond me! The hotel has now allocated one mini room for guests to do the ironing on every floor. Other than being old and having unremoveable stains here and there, the room is actually very large and clean. The iron stains are not dirty (it's burnt marks on nylon-based carpet) but of course it doesn't look good at all! The bed, mattress and pillows are very comfortable though. The best part of the hotel is of course the room rates. For RM170 (less than US$40), you get a deluxe room - large, clean (but with iron stains.. hehee) with comfortable queen bed. Plus breakfast for 2 pax! The breakfast buffet spread are not bad but of course you can't compare it with other 4-5 stars hotel. If you are used to 4-5 star hotels, luxury style accommodations and expect such facilities and services, then I suggest you avoid this hotel. This is a no frills, value for money hotel and I think the hotel is pretty good for that level.

I came here for a 2 days seminar and was totally disappointed with their services. They need a vast improvement on foods. Foods are tasteless and lack of choices. There were no laundry bag provided in the room. Worst, their services are poor. Took them 2 days (until I checked outno laundry bag were given). However, the front desk receptionist are friendly. They need to change their room carpets cos it look so old and dirty.TV is old. Neeed more channel. And their toiletries are limited. Not recommended but to those who are looking for a place that is near to the airport, this hotel is nearby.

This was one of the poorest hotel experiences I have had in all my travels. We only booked it as we needed to be close to the airport for an early morning flight so we didn’t pay much but I certainly expected more than we got. The room was a shambles - really run down, dark hair found on both beds, a massive gap under the front door so light and bugs came right through, air con smelt damp and the bathroom was pretty grim. There was also a massive iron stain on the carpet......?? The check in itself was average, not much communication or information and very slow with no help with luggage. Didn’t feel like a hotel and no atmosphere.

The hotel doesn't look inviting at all from the road as its not brightly portrayed. The room is huge, that is the positive side. However, the toilet is dirty! Clean up a bit guys? The interior shows the age of the hotel truly. The breakfast buffet is simple, so don't expect anything.

Located at Tabung Haji in Bayan Lepas, Penang Island, this hotel is only 10 minutes away from Penang International Airport, only 10 RM using Grab. The hotel is quite clean, the food is good and with reasonable price. But it's located far from the crowd, so if you're expecting a crowded nightlife, this hotel isn't the right place.
