We have been staying here every year for 16 years. Things have changed dramatically. It was once family owned but is now a Catholic Church school. We visit before school is out for the summer and get our own breakfast, but we still love it. The scenery is spectacular, accommodation is good, and is situated in a quiet lane leading to a monastery, orchards, vineyards, and little else. Access is secure with a coded electric gate. Malaucene is a short drive away, where there is a good supermarket, many bars and restaurants, a newsagent selling Englsh papers, a butchers and a couple of bakeries. If you like cycling there are 2 or 3 bike shops. We are hikers and love the quiet lanes. Many wine caveau in and around Malaucene for wine tasting.. More

“All rooms quiet. The more you pay the bigger the room. Daily room service is now an extra. Almost like self catering. No air con.”
