An unforgettable stay at the Hotel Wilder Eder! The welcome upon arrival was warm and welcoming, and the loving decoration in the entrance area immediately made for a home feeling. Our room was beautifully decorated and exuded a unique atmosphere that made you feel like you were in the middle of nature.
The dinner then thrilled us completely – innovative yet traditional! Especially the pumpkin cream soup with the blood sausage lollipops was a highlight that I will remember for a long time. The dessert was also, as expected, a crowning conclusion to a perfect evening.
The end at the bar was just as pleasant, where the chef personally serves drinks and chats with the guests – a great, personal touch! At breakfast the next morning, the great atmosphere continued seamlessly. The staff were very friendly, and the eggs with the little "caps" made for a serene start to the day.
On departure we could not resist and took a few boxes of Eveline Wild's homemade chocolates with us. These little works of art are worth a sin!
All in all, you can feel cordiality, genuine hospitality and attention to detail throughout the house to ensure guests a wonderful stay. Highly recommended!

Very attentive staff, warm atmosphere, wonderfully stylish hotel with fine rooms, beautiful spa area and great food. The desserts and chocolates in particular are simply heavenly. No wonder. Eveline Wild was, after all, world champion confectioner...

Once again landed at the Wild Eder and felt at home as with every visit. The whole hotel with every single person exudes a harmony and warmth that is hardly found anywhere else. During this visit, we decided to have an evening “fine dining in the period”. Stefan Eder has set himself a monument here! He tells us a beautiful story equipped with the finest delicacies, all prepared in the form of a culinary feast for the eyes. A magical evening that appeals to all the senses. Just WOW!

A family-run business founded on passion and hard work and it shows in every area from the décor to the food to the service! Owners and staff were welcoming and professional and provided consistently great service throughout the hotel. Location is beautiful. Views are stunning. The large restaurant terrace is the perfect spot for outdoor dining in fine weather. We enjoyed the special BBQ dinner with DJ on the night we were there. Fantastic food and a lovely, friendly atmosphere! Only the room type “stammhauszimmer” was available for our last-minute booking but the room had everything we could want. It was spotlessly clean, a good size and had a balcony with that wonderful view. We hope to go back!

We stayed here for a few days at the beginning of July. Food is amazing, Breakfast very thoughtful (loved the inventive daily specials in addition to the buffet), and dinner is equally great. Rooms are nice and newly renovated, spa has an extensive offering and uses high quality Vinoble products, massage was especially good. Also dog friendly as our dog came with us and the hotel was very accommodating.

The food was excellent. Good location. Our room - standard Doppelzimmer mit Balkon - was small. The floor gave loud cracking noise when we walked on it. It was specially disturbing during the night. I found it a bit expensive.

The Hotel is located in the "green heart of Austria". You are surrounded by woods, mountain pastures, and the small picturesque village St. Kathrein in the middle of nowhere. The cordiality of the staff is outstanding as well as the food. My special recommendation goes to the "Almenland beef" which is directly stemming from cattle kept outside in the nearby area. One additional "sweetener" are the desserts: Eveline Wild won several prices for her pastries and chocolates including world championships.
