Since my mother was tired of driving we decided to stop in this hotel, it was late in the night, but we received a top service and even if our car was full of luggage we felt safe of parking it inside the hotel. The owner welcomed us in a very kind way and gave us a beautiful room facing the sea. Breakfast was full of options and really tasty! I would really recommend this hotel for people who want to enjoy the sea and spend a relaxing holiday enjoying the sea and the swimming pool, or even for a relaxing night if you are tired of driving!
Beautiful clean hotel located across the sea with spectacular views! Staff was amazingly professional and extremely accommodating and friendly! The grounds were kept immaculate the hotel is secure and someone is always at the front desk. Stefano who worked the desk at night was helpful and professional The morning breakfast was delicious as well as the coffee and tea.. I would definitely recommend this beautiful gem of hotel in Calabria and I would absolutely return in a heartbeat! Thanks so much!
Having booked a 6 night stay at the Lions Hotel, my wife and I decided to stay an extra 7 nights. We asked the owner, Mario, for a price which we agreed but when we came to settle the bill on checkout, the bill was an extra €171! Mario refused to accept that he had given us the price we had originally agreed and so we had no alternative but to pay the revised bill in full. We then hoped to claim back some of it once we got home but he has chosen to ignore my emails. So dishonest! Also, he and his daughter didn’t create a very good impression as they both spent a lot of time sleeping stretched out on the sofas in the foyer and just outside the entrance - how unprofessional! They have their own private beach but it is not free for guests, it costs €5 a day. Most hotels with their own private beach offer this free of charge. In spite of other reviews being positive, (and I do agree that the staff were very pleasant and helpful), we were extremely disappointed with the owner’s refusal to honour the agreement we had for the cost of our extended stay. I THEREFORE CANNOT RECOMMEND STAYING HERE.…
Family hotel run in a very professional way. Mario owner/manager , well supported by brother Franco , son Staly , daughter Vicky. The 2 Stefano run the reception area 24/7 very friendly and efficient. We were booked for 3 nights , but it was so nice and relaxing we stayed extra 2 nights. Location Excellent , room clean , with all amenities , cleaned each day. Great beach , chairs and umbrellas available on request , beach area is run by Staly and sister Vicky . Breakfast to kill for specially ,, the Cornetti with custard ,, and plenty of them ,, yummy ,, Only negative ,,, there is no Public Transport ,,, I would not hesitate to stay there again , and recommend same to others. We stayed at Lion's Hotel in Falerna for one night between 26th and 27th July, 2018 on our way from Sicilia to Rome. The first impression of the hotel was one of a stylish, well-kept establishment with an airy and welcoming lobby. The tidiness and condition of both the common areas as well as the rooms was remarkable, while at the same time, the hotel's decor as well as the service offered by the staff created an wonderful old-world ambiance that one rarely finds in modern hotels. The service in the restaurant and the cleanliness of our room was impeccable. Our room was very comfortable: air-conditioned, comfortable beds and well-stocked minibar. The bathroom was spacious, and in particular, the shower cabinet did what it was supposed to do; keep the water in the shower and off the bathroom floor. Unfortunately, taking a shower in many hotel rooms causes the whole bathroom to be inundated with water. Since we stayed for only one night, we didn't have a chance to use the swimming pool or visit the hotel's own beach, both of which were very welcoming and which we would have most definitely visited had we had the chance. One memorable moment was when, after returning from having dinner, we had parked our car on the road just outside the hotel and the manager kindly offered to move his car from the hotel's garage to allow us to park ours there. This was a small gesture, but a major statement that conveys quality service and commitment to the client's satisfaction more than any advertisement can do.…
