I recently stayed in this hotel. The hotel itself was good however and it’s a big however they have kept a £2000 reservation charge assigned to my credit card for well over two weeks after checking out. This is despite contacting the hotel more than once and being reassured that the charge will be cancelled. This has led to my credit limit being reached on a business credit card and me having to suffer the embarrassment of the card being declined and having to pay out of my own pocket. Be very careful to double check all charges on your cards when staying here………
My sister in law and I have just returned from a couple of days visit here. A special mention to Gracie working front desk at the restaurant. Sunday was a particularly busy breakfast time, some people were getting frustrated and some being quite rude and upset at having to wait. Gracie responded in a professional manner, keeping calm and smiling and taking control of each individual request. All the restaurant staff coped amazingly well against a crazy breakfast rush. Cordelia was our waitress in the evening and couldn't do enough for us. Very friendly and efficient. Check-in staff courteous and helpful. Food was amazing and our room very clean and comfortable. A most enjoyable experience. Thank you
IF YOU HAVE ANXIETY OR ALLERGIES THIS HOTEL IS NOT FOR YOU. NONE OF THE ROOMS HAVE WINDOWS. NONE. Let me say this, by now and next summer this hotel will be 2 or 1 stars. LOCATION- for me, it’s perfect especially since the Stratford train station is right there AMENITIES- there are none. There is a cafe and a restaurant, union social which is nice. There’s also a gym which is very small but has some good machines. STAFF- not all of them are nice. Kannie is by far the sweetest and most helpful employee here, there’s this redhead I didn’t get here name, she’s nice as well. Today I encountered this rude male employee. ROOMS- the hallways are dusty, you can see the dust as you’re stepping on the carpet, the rooms are dusty the sink in my room doesn’t drain the water all the way out, shower head rusting. Speaking of sink it’s not your typical sink and you’d have to bend down really far to use it. The windows in some of the rooms are dirty af on the outside. OVERALL- this is a new hotel and that’s the hype, it’s new. Over time reviews will start to go down. Also their biggest twin room is a twin deluxe, the gantry twin in very small.…
A modern hotel conveniently located near to Stratford International and the Westfield Shopping centre . Hilton Gold . Lack lustre check in staff , no welcome , no upgrade , and did not seem to know what the HH Loyalty programme was . Offered incorrect information . Allocated a room completely at odds with my room preferences. Room modern basic but with a good walk in shower . No water bottles in room as should be . Staff seemed disinterested. Raised issues while staying and did get a vague apology. No HH Benefits so will likely stay at another of the chains hotels next time .
We recently had our 3rd stay at the Gantry this year: We had an enjoyable, comfortable and relaxing time during our 4 day stay. Thank you so much to Bianca and Udele for their personal and warm welcome on arrival and during our vacation 3rd - 7th Aug. We plan to return again before the end of the year. Regards TT.
I had a great time during my stay here. The service at the hotel is top-tier. Kareema, Erika, & Kannie we’re all great. I stayed here for about 2 weeks during Wimbledon. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is located near a huge mall with lots of options for food and shopping. Also located close to the train which makes up for being far outside central London.
This is a superb hotel and great value for London. Our room was lovely - huge bed, spacious, great shower and AC which actually works and is simple to adjust. It has the feel of an expensive place but isn’t. Great staff too. Very highly recommended.
A fabulous stay on Friday night before we went to the Abba Voyage concert. Great welcome and a mention to Udele as we checked in, great ambassador for the Hotel. Twin room was lovely, large beds, fabulous bathroom and shower. We had drinks and nibbles in the bar and service and choice was great. We couldn't have chosen to stay anywhere better- it was perfect.
Another fab stay at The Gantry. Brilliant location with great accessibility to Kings Cross, friendly staff, comfy rooms with fab views and the perfect start to the day breakfast. Every time I visit I wish my house looked like The Gantry, the design elements are the perfect fusion of aesthetics and practical design! Looking forward to my next visit already..
Now stayed here 3 times and will be stopping lot more. Great hotel from check in to check out. Rooms are well appointed with great comfortable beds. Opposite the westfield shopping centre and 10i minutes to West Hams ground and the Olympic Park. A DLR station is opposite which opens up a very wide area, but less than 7 minutes to ST Pancras on the train. Good cocktails and bar and decent breakfast.
