We decided to chose this place willing to be close to Salzburg but same time to be in a quiet place surrounded with nature. We were heading from Munich, so it was on our way. Surrounded with mountains you wake up in amazing mood. The hotel is very nice and you find a very welcoming Germano-Austrain atmosphere wether during the...

We've just spent three nights at this charming hotel whilst visiting Salzburg's Christmas Markets. We were welcomed by the restaurant staff as our early flight from UK got us to our location at 10am. We were able to check in and then start our holiday immediately. There is a very good bus service that runs to Salzburg on a regular...

This quaint hotel is located right in the centre of the village (look for the church steeple) 200m from the German border and 20 minutes to both Salzburg and Hitlers mountain retreat at Burchtesgaden. We had a corner room (206) with stunning views. Attached pictures were taken from our windows and balcony. The room was functional if a little dated....

We recently stayed 2 nights and was quite pleased with everything. Check-in was super simple and staff was friendly. The restaurant was fabulous. The potato soup is to die for. The rooms weren't anything fancy but exactly what we needed for a good nights rest.

Stayed for one night as part of our euro road trip. We arrived early and had no problems checking in as the room was ready. The lady on check in was very friendly and spoke good English, she gave us 4 passwords for the wifi. Our family room was on the top floor, it was extremely spacious in an L...

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The views were just as nice as we hoped. We thought it would be a problem to have to check in by 7 PM, but it wasn’t. In addition, if we had been late, there were people in the restaurant who would have been able to help. Since it was a small...

Room very basic, no toiletries, very compact bathroom. Room not suitable for disabled due to the position of the window (very high with little view and very hot/noisy during storm and heavy rain) Armchairs suitable for children not adults, once again totally useless for disabled. Table with a TV in a corner with lower ceiling, hurt my head twice. The bed...

Beautiful view of the mountains from our balcony! Lovely little town. Very average room in a very average hotel. Spacious room but really lacking in character considering the age of the building. Reasonably clean I suppose. Crisp white sheets & thin towels - a bit like tea towels! No tissues - something you usually get in even the most basic...

Major wow factor! The room was clean, large and a beautiful view from our balcony of the Austrian alps! But I also want to warn all rental car drivers entering into this country, that to avoid a hefty $120.00 fine upon entering this country, you must purchase a $10.00 car decal. We did not know this, and feel it should...

We booked the family room (2 adults, 14 yr old girl, 11 yr old boy) as we all wanted to room together. (You'll find in your research that most European hotels do not have such accommodation.) We arrived by car from Berchtesgaden (30 mins) to be warmly welcomed at the front desk. No staring at computers, long lines, or impersonal...
