We stayed 2 nights at the Auberge Lion d'Or, almost by chance, seeking a stop off on our journey north. What a happy circumstance. The Auberge is located right in the exquisite medieval town of St. Antonin. Over 300 years old it has been sympathetically restored by hosts Jan and Bo and combines all the joy of staying in a... Jan and Bo were very hospitable, relaxed and friendly hosts at their beautiful old inn. The view from the dining balcony was sensational as well as relaxing in the garden. Our room was large with lovely old furniture and decor to suit the building. Breakfast was plentiful and they are very flexible with check in. A truly wonderful experience and... More

We stayed here for one night on a Saturday night and absolutely loved it! We had the most beautiful room upstairs with a lovely view out the shutters over the roof tops! You literally felt like you had stepped back in time to a place of tranquil beauty and elegance. The car parking was a two minute walk away and... More

Our room on the ground floor was spacious as was the bathroom. The bed could have been bigger but it was comfortable. The breakfast was really good with lots of choice. It was only a few minutes walk to the centre and there was free parking in the carpark not far from the auberge. Check-in was not until 4 pm... More

The Inn maintains the atmosphere of 500 years ago, but with ultra comfortable beds. The location couldn't be better, right in the center of old town, but only 1½ blocks from the road on which you can park your car. Be aware though that on Sunday market days you will probably have to search on the outskirts of town for parking... More

18th C building with some of the old construction but renovated. Run by a very friendly couple. One of the two best breakfasts of our 3 week trip. Challenging to locate. Advise you park outside of town (near the Protestant "Temple) and walk in from there.

Our family of 4 had a great stay at Auberge lion d'Or. This is a charming Bed and Breakfast renovated and run by great hosts Jan and Bo. The beds are comfortable, the bathrooms modern and the breakfast is great. I would highly recommend this place when staying in St. Antonin.

We had a night between holiday homes & so booked the Auberge. We had a family room (4 people) & it was plenty big, with a fantastic view of the rocky hills out of the picturesque window. However, our jongest slept on camping bed which was not ideal. The other negative ( mentioned in other reviews too) is the half-open... More

It was a great pleasure to stay in this charming, with love to details renovated, BnB. Our hosts met us like friends and after 4 nights we were sad to leave those two lovely persons. The rooms were really big and decorated with lots of antique items. Comfortable beds and a (self-)designer bathroom. Very clean premises. All rooms have been... More

We spent a lovely weekend in the Auberge Lion d’Or situated in the medieval village of Saint-Antonin-Noble-Val. It is located in the heart of the village an about a minute’s walk from the Aveyron River. The owners are a young dutch couple who have spent the last 6yrs renovating the building taking great care to retain the history but adding... More
