I stayed for a long weekend at Vivenda and it felt like I had spent a week unwinding and relaxing - such is the serenity and charm of this eclectically and lovingly restored Portuguese style house. Our stay was during the height of the monsoon. Be prepared for it to rain ALOT but the happiness is in just kicking back... More

Vivenda is a Special Safe Oasis.I stayed for 3 nights and after 1 felt like I had been there for a week. The individual rooms of which I started in 2 are exquisite and on par with any European boutique city hotel experience. The staff led by John simply couldn't be happier and friendlier.. Many are locals...its a quiet place... More

We struck gold with this heritage Portuguese style villa that is tucked away in a secluded corner of Goa, close to Majorda beach. The pool and verandas of Vivenda look even better in person than they do in pictures. Each room is individually themed with an eclectic collection of furniture and art. The whole house has been charmingly decorated and... More

Love little gem, I keep on going back to this charming place. Simon and Charlotte are great hosts, very engage with their guests. I was there a couple of weeks ago, and I like the atmosphere, the fact that you can interact with the hosts and with other guests.

Lovely main building with interesting and varied rooms around it, a charming pool and even more charming bar. But my room was not clean (thick dust on various surfaces, grit on bathroom floor and gunk in drain) and a few in our party had clogged shower or sink drains (one that totally flooded the bathroom). The breakfast would be much... More

Beautiful house in a lovely location, walking distance from the beach and some good restaurants. I like the Majorda area because it is quieter and less touristy compared with some areas of north Goa. Also, close to the airport, which was nice because our visit was short. Charlotte was very welcoming, and the food here was spectacular. We did enjoy... More

It's got charm, it's got soul, it's got food to die for -- who cares if it's not walking distance to within anywhere else interesting? We loved the unique rooms, our hosts, their dogs, the welcoming family feel, the freshwater pool, the open air bath. Heavenly, scrumptious, glorious.

Stayed in April 2016 after 9 days touring in the North. Situated in small Goan village, walking distance or cycle ride from a lovely beach with great beach shack restaurants and bars. We went at the end of season so not crowded but also some of the shops closed. Vivenda was just what we were looking for; an authentic, welcoming... More

An absolutely beautiful hacienda, done up in Portuguese style by a brother - sister duo. They happily share some amazing anecdotes with you. Look out for interesting pieces of furniture, such as the ancient fridge and the one man manual music box that could welcome you. Excellent service, great food and an incredibly charming environment.
