I was a little concerned as this hotel is only 3 stars and I usually stay in 5 star and now and again 4 star. I will start with the simple statement of "we will be going back". It is an former home and It is simply charming. There is a lovely bar area at the front of the hotel...

Le Manoir is simply beautiful and the Cecilia and Raphael, hosts are wonderfully friendly and professional. Cecilia speaks a little English and Raphael is quite fluent so even if you speak no French you can be charmed by them both, and charmed we were. The house is beautifully decorated and our bedroom (creme) was really comfortable and warm with lovely...

We stayed with friends for two nights and received very warm welcome from Cecilia. Our bedroom in toile de jouy wallpapers and matching curtains was luxurious and the bathroom impeccable . Breakfast prepared by Cecilia were delicious with home baked bread, pancakes and jams from the garden. We hope to return.

Have just spent three nights here in this rural idyll. Cecilia is a charming host and works very hard to make sure that you enjoy your stay. We had dinner on our first night before trying the many restaurants in the area, and the food was superb. The house interior is decorated in a "French/New England Style" if there is such...

Sadly, we were only able to spend one night at this amazing venue. Cécilia is the most extraordinary hostess. Not only does she run the house, children, gardens, animals and cooking "à seule", (I'm sure Raphael helps when he's at home!), but the whole ambience of the place gives the impression that it's all done before daybreak. An unforgettable bed...

We revisited Le Manoir with another couple on the way back from our holiday in south west France. We have stayed there numerous times over the last seven years both as a couple and with friends ,however this was our first visit since it changed owners one year ago. It continues to be a beautiful and well run b and...

Thank you very much for your feedback and it helps us to improve our service. Nevertheless, please note the tariffs are the same as with the previous owners and in France we serve continental breakfast. Previous owners were english. We understand your frustration about the breakfast but you forgot to mention that at the same time there was a very...

Words nor pictures could express how perfect Le Manoir is. My boyfriend and I stayed there in April when Jennifer and Helmut were still there. They did a beautiful job renovating and developing the most carefully and tastefully decorated residence. They went the extra mile with small touches like tea & cakes in the afternoon, nibbles & wine in the...

I don't know where to start, cannot fault this beautiful french home with stunning grounds and buildings. A real family welcome, a courtyard full of horses, ducks, geese and cats. The decor and furnishings are delightful and very comfortable. We chose the lovely 'grey' room, spacious and with views to the front and rear of this wonderful property. Dinner was...

Please note that the photo of the orange bedroom has somehow strayed from a hotel also called Le Manoir but at Orchies. This is not representative of the quality of the rooms Helmut and Jennifer provide - make sure you are on the right website, i.e. Le Manoir at Gouy St Andre, before you book for a top quality hotel...
