I had the opportunity to stay 2 weeks at Xamach dos in March 2017. It was beyond wonderful. The trip from Cancun takes around 3 hours. After all of the comments regarding the road, the road was fine. It is dirt and has to be taken slowly, but no problems. The staff greeted us on arrival and helped with our...

Xamach Dos was exactly what we were looking for: The perfect getaway. We had a great stay at the resort, met awesome people and enjoyed the absolutely relaxing environment. Thanks a million to Dan and Michelle Hazard who have built a little paradise within paradise; Heika, our wonderful cook who did not once disappoint us and kept our stomachs full...

This is a very beautiful location. Once you get into the Sian Kaan Biosphere the roads do have many potholes and some topes but it's well worth traveling here. Just beware of the oncoming vehicles and know it will be rough. This is part of the charm as it keeps it less populated! I would suggest bringing a cooler full...

I stayed here with my wife in January 2006 for one month. The date picker would not let me go further back than 2016. Although it was 11 years ago it looks pretty much the same as in 2006. This is a remote place which is great as you will meet nobody else on the beach. But you are just...

GENERAL: The location on a beautiful secluded beach plot is truly unique. The style is nice & simple. We (2 adults, 2 kids aged 9 & 11) stayed for a few days in the convenient apartment style room in the back of of the area, and a few days in the more charming & much more rustic bungalow "Las Luna",...

This place is not for everyone, that's for sure. But it is definitely for me. I had a pretty good idea what to expect before I left based on their website and reviews, so I was not expecting a posh all-inclusive resort. I knew I was getting a unique room on a unique (and beautiful) property in a very unique...

The setting is beautiful, but unfortunately our stay could have been so much better. The bad things: First of all, the owners are American, so if you expect an authentic Mexican stay, this is not the place. Furthermore, although they were friendly we some times felt like being at a private party without having been invited. They live there and...

Here's what I can add: -Road to from the park entrance had been recently graded (grader was still on road), so we could do the 22 klicks from the park entrance at the speed limit (40kph) in a 2wd large car. So the track should be fine until the rainy season in any type of vehicle. -The place is indeed...

These rustic cabins on a remote beach over an hour south from Tulum are a gem for those who want to get away from the hub-bub of the city. Ideal for someone who wants to relax on the beach with little disturbance, enjoy watching pelicans, star-gazing, and perhaps do a little swimming, snorkelling or kayaking. We'd definitely go back again!...
