Based on reviews we booked a couple of nights at this place. A fabulous spot for lovely walks and views. We hiked from Sigchos to Insinlivi with the kids on the first day to arrive in time for a spot of hot tub before dinner....More
Stayed here on our first night of the loop. Had secured a reservation via a phone call prior to leaving Sigchos and arrived around 7pm due to a longer than anticipated hike to town... My girlfriend and I both took dorm beds which were layed...More
We stayed at the hostel after a hike from Sigchos. It was a lovely stay. We were lucky to get the accommodation without prior reservation. Even though we are not the youngest any more we “survived” one night in dorm. It was enough privacy even...More
On our hike on the quiolatoa loop we stayed at this awesome place. Embedded in the rural mountain area with a great view from the terrace. The hostal has a classic and sophisticated atmosphere. The food, especially the breakfast with homemade bread is fantastic. Unfortunately...More

We took a 5 dollar taxi from latacunga direct to the markets of Saquisili. There is several plazas all part of a larger market. Taxi for 5 bucks from Hotel Central in Latacunga straight to market in 15 mins, left at 8am. Walked around for a 1.5 hours and even went to the animal market which requires a 25 centavo pp riDE in a camioneta. From Saquisili, ask the locals, and they will point you to where the buses to Sigchos leave. (Plaza Rocafuerte) the buses leave every 30 mins to Sigvhos direct. Cost us 2 dollars each. Took 2 hours. Grabbed the 10 am bus and arrived in Sigchos at noon. Grabbed an almuerzo lunch and asked the locals the route to Isinlivi and headed out. Left at 12.30pm and walked 3.5 hours from Sigchos to Isinlivi, arrived at 4pm and stayed at Cristobal hostel, but there is also Lulu Llama. Only 2 in town. Super easy and amazing day. DO the Saquisili market first thing, bus to Sigchos, walk/hike to Isinlivi. Too easy
