This is a review of the restaurant at this hotel and not of the hotel itself.I dined at the restaurant a number of times during my stay in Bintulu.Service was excellent and the staff were very friendly. The food, however, was only average.Presentation was poor, the taste was off-putting and the whole dining experience was unsatisfactory. If I remember correctly I ate about half of what I got....and that was a struggle....This restaurant needs a shake-up...Will not return...Can only give it 4 out of 10.

The Hotel locate at Mid-city of Bintulu...which close to the most attraction place at BTU. The room is okay, bed is OKAY. The room Smell old..i dont really like the smell. Cleanliness 7/10..Jug Kettle gt dirt inside..yellow on the jug side inner wall. Bathroom nt so clean.. when i want to use the toilet bowl at 1st time, there's a pee on the bowl seat and i have to clean it by myself before i use it. The sink water pipe not function, i need to inform receiptionist to call for technician and problem solved. Lots of things in the room nt really in satisfaction or good condition, example..rack close to mirror in bathroom damage, some of the door handle part broken. The receiptionist and HSKP nt really friendly. 1st day i stayed. Im still in the room to get ready to going out when the HSKP knock my door to do room service..i ask her to wait for 15minute as im in the midst to get ready..but a few minute later, she knock my door again... and go open the door with cover half of myself and told her to gv me a few minutes to ready and she directly sour face towards me. One of receiptionist is nt friendly. The Restaurant crew is very nice...they serve me well. But the food nt taste so good and breakfast is semi-buffet and lack of food choices.Overall, they really need to improve their room condition and their service as well. Compare price with the service: NOT WORTH MY MONEY.

I am sorry for posting this at Bintulu branch as I could not not find Kuching branch in Trip Advisor. Just share my experience in other Kemena Hotel branches. Last week I had the worse experience staying in any hotels.. I have posted to their facebook, trip advisor and email to them, yet there is NO RESPONSE from them. Hotel staff so called "accidentally" checked in to a bunch of boys saying they were to hold a PRIVATE PARTY on a hotel room. What?? And... It was just NEXT to our room. And.... We were sooooooo "lucky" of having such experiences : 1. The clubbing music was on so loud from 5pm - 4am in the morning , and dozens of people including boys and girls ( should be High School Kids) , came in late at midnight overnight and create lots of noises. 2. We tried to seek help from the management, but he was helpless and couldn't do anything about it. It seems like only one night shift staff, did not see any security around. 3. Staff told us that he could only call to room to ask them Lower down their volume. But.... Do you think bunch of teenagers will listen to you? And IT gets even worse AFTER 1am. The music Is even louder. 3. After approaching the staff for quite a number of time, finally we got ourselves a temporary room in Level 3 for us to move in so we could get some sleep. Can U imagine how loud was the music volume? We still can hear the music from L5 all the way to L3. Just imagine how unpleasant it is for the hotel guest. Kemena group hotel is such an established company, how can they allow such an irresponsible incident to happen?

Terrible. Hotel is a ramshackle of a place. Okay for a a chap travelling on his own and just using for a place to lay his head for night or two. Unfortunately I couldn't get flights out so had to spend a whole day in the dump. Views from the room looked liked like the aftermath of an aerial assault. I'm sure it was a splendid place when built and first opened but the management / owners don't appear not to have put any of their profits back into the place with regards to decorating or upgrading in the past 20 years. I can't even say the wifi was good, it wasn't. Food was crap (can't think of a more suitable word), service however was excellent which was down to the fact I was the only person in the restaurant so had five or so waiters / waitresses tending my table - I presume everybody else must have known the food was crap and steered clear. I will not be returning.

We drove in at night and found this hotel by chance. Rooms are reasonable and big and clean. Located at the old part of Bintulu. Food at the coffee house is not bad and the staff was friendly. There is a waterfront at the back of the hotel facing the jetty.
