Had a seminar there few years back. It's somewhat a dated hotel, I presume aging 20+ years and it's reasonable that the accomodation was so-so. But I have to give credits for the nice scenery and also nice hospitality provided by the staff
The check in process was easy, but a little too easy as in I was not shown what direction to head to get to my room, what floor it was on or even where the lifts were. Check in staff were pleasant enough though. I eventually found my room and it was ok. For an "executive suite" it was way below par, but for a normal double room, it would have been fine. Decor was very dated but sufficient. I didn't particularly like the wooden flooring, but that's a personal choice and it was clean so hey ho. The biggest issue I had was I could only find one plug socket, which was nowhere near the bed and it appeared to be very loose in the wall. The 2 x USB sockets on it were handy, but only worked when they wanted too. The room phone did not work so I had to go to reception to order room service. On that subject, I ordered a pizza and it was delicious. I genuinely loved it and it was delivered piping hot. The downside was the guy who delivered demanded cash only (which was not stated anywhere in the room service menu) and I did not have enough cash on my so, much to a bemused look from him, I charged it to my room. The shower was over the bath which was a bit dated but was decent enough. The bath mat was a bit shabby looking so did not use it. The towels were clean and fresh. The bed was very comfortable and I did have a couple of good nights sleep. I did nit try the restaurant in the hotel so cannot comment. Overall, it is a decent hotel that could be doing with a facelift, but it was OK. It is located right next to a shopping mall which, being honest, is worth a miss, but that's for a different review. …
My family has been staying at the Everly for as long as I can remember and recently (July) I was so disappointed in the standard it had dropped to. Seemed management had not cared at all about guests or staff. However, this recent visit Just this month was wonderful!!! We got our requested adjoining rooms that were excellent, clean, huge, every detail taken care of!! I noticed they had updated phones, menu, bathroom amenities holder and even added USB ports! Fantastic! As always - the staff were awesome, polite and the whole place is just a nice quiet, clean place to call home while travelling. House keeping deserve a special mention as she took care of everything and called someone to fix the toilet seat that I hadn’t even noticed was slightly wobbly. Room service was impeccable and as always quick and fresh! The food in the restaurant has definitely increased in quality - my mum said it was the best Tom Yum soup she’s ever had! Well done ParkCity Everly!!! I’m looking forward to coming back soon!!…
If you don't mind the rather dated rooms, it's truly value for money for a rather big room (25 square meters) with 2 queen size beds, gym, reasonably sized swimming pool, and short driving distance to town and all other attractions (eateries, beaches, etc). Satisfied with the hotel amenities n service with free car park. BUT ... 1. Do ask for a higher room so that you have some view (town or partial sea view). ALSO must check if the bathroom ventilation fans are working. 2. During my stay, the bathroom ceilings were literally dripping water from condensation / steam after 4 hot showers. 3. The central air-conditioning fans were very noisy even on low speed. The only plus is the a family room (with 2 double beds) at that price.
Rooms were big and clean. Breakfast was good with varieties to choose from. Available, with nice business centre and meeting room with overhead projector. Other amenities and convenient shops nearby. Would recommend hotel to tourists or business visitors.
Spacious room and strategically located next to the Bintulu Waterfront Promenade. Easy access to The Spring Shopping Mall (walking distance). The room was ok although it looks old-fashioned. Request for carpet room instead of timber flooring, you might get *frost bites* from it. rooms at higher level are most likely to get better view of the sea.
The room is roomy, clean with comfy bed. Although the furniture in the room is a bit old fashion, but the surrounding was nice and quiet. I love the garden view with partial sew view from the window. The new shopping mall, the Spring is just next to the hotel. Breakfast buffet offered reasonable choices. Wifi connection was fine. Good based for business traveler.
I have just returned from one night at the property. Located in an urban setting looking out over the majestic South China Sea, the views are charming and immediately calming. The rooms are spacious, extremely comfortable, and appointed with every amenity you might need. There is ample space to sit and relax. There are excellent dining options within a reasonable drive/walk from the property – it located near the new The Spring shopping mall. If you're looking for a place to sleep for a couple of nights that are not excessively expensive, comes with all the usual amenities, and is in the city center, this is a good base to explore Bintulu.
I do not write this review lightly. As a business traveller, or traveller in general, all I look for is a clean room. I have slept rough in parks I Switzerland, in mountain huts, in rooms above bakeries. I like luxury but also appreciate the simple things. Check in: curt and unhelpful, I had to ask which way to my room. Lift: smelled funny Bed: comfy enough Room: smelt damp Bathroom: damp, mouldy. Tap hanging off wall. Hallway: room service dishes left for whole day. Breakfast: I was there during Ramadan, so maybe this was the issue. Coffee tasted like tar, as if it had been cooked for hours. I asked for an omelette, it came undercooked and with raw onions. Meals: wasn’t brave enough to risk it. WiFi: no. Existent To summarise, this hotel is in desperate need of refurbishment and the staff need to pick up their game. …
My kids love the pool. While my eldest son loves the gym. Tv channels are plenty. I think the most complete tv channels in Bintulu. Plenty of parking spaces avaible. Just a little bit upset with the towel cleanliness which had hair folded inside it. Beside that everything was great.
