After an impromptu decision to stay in Louisburgh after returning from Innisturk - I luckily stumbled upon this beautiful B&B. I was immediately welcomed by the exceptional Claire - and it was not difficult to see why her home has such wonderful energy. Her hospitality, warmth and kindness was above and beyond what I would ever expect from a B&B....

We decided last minute to climb Croagh Patrick and couldnt get any hotels in the area. I was glad to discover the warm welcome at Springfield house. We were late coming and probably mess the owners plans, but she was still friendly and rushed to prepare tea and sweets. House is clean and well taken care of as well as...

After a full day of seeing the sights in Co. Mayo we were running out of daylight with no B & B reservations. We stopped at one B & B but no one answered the door. We drove on and noticed the sign "Kenny's Springfield House B & B". We were pleasantly surprised that Claire had rooms for all 5...

We spent last weekend at Springfield House and came away feeling like we were leaving a long lost relative. Claire is so welcoming, friendly and accommodating, you feel like you've known her forever. The rooms are large, comfortable and clean and the breakfast was top drawer. We had a great choice of cereal, fresh fruit, yoghurt and heaps of toast...

Stayed with Claire for one night enroute to Clare Island. She was a wonderful welcoming hostess. After arriving from a long car journey, there was tea & cake waiting for us by a roaring fire in the sitting room. It was like coming home! We chatted for a bit & got some tips for the trad festival on in Louisburgh...

We came to visit our oldest daughter who is studying abroad in Louisburgh for the semester and she lined up this wonderful B&B. My husband and I had a nice room with a double bed and an extra single, and our youngest daughter had her own double bed room next to ours, each with our own bathrooms. Very clean and...

We stayed for a weekend with Claire, the owner. She is so welcoming and hospitable. Nothing was too much trouble and we had the most relaxing stay of our trip. Claire told us all about the nearby sights and attractions and provided us with some local knowledge that made the stay so special. The beds were very comfortable and the...

Lovely, large, clean room room ... The host, Claire, with her twinkling eyes, warm smile and love of banter will keep you smiling and talking while she serves you tea, biscuits, toast and cookies after you arrive. The breakfast was grand ... fresh fruit, lots of REAL strong coffee (or tea), croissants, cereal of choice, fruit and THEN the cooked...

My husband and I were exploring the coast and needed a place to stay for just 1 night - 19th April. It was about 5pm - so very short notice. We had tried the Ponderosa - and the lovely lady there could not take us, so phoned Clare who said 'Yes!'. What a lovely welcome - Clare is warm and...

“We NEVER book - and only stay 1 night. Our 1st Landlady ever told us to always ask to check the bathroom and pull the sheets back to inspect the bed - and feel free to walk away if we don't like the place. We haven't been disappointed yet. This year we set our budget at 60euros per night per couple for B&B - the highest we paid was 65euros.”
