We've just returned from our eighth annual stay at Scalby Hayes and again we cannot fault the farmhouse, gardens and breakfast. Again we stayed in the Waterside room which is so spacious together with perfect views of the well manicured gardens. If you want peace and quiet just sit outside the summerhouse and chill out with a bottle of wine....

Scalby Hayes is a little piece of heaven on earth. Everything about it is pure quality! It is set in beautiful grounds, with a view of Scarborough Castle in the distance. My partner and I stayed in the smaller of the two rooms and were delighted with it. Everywhere is sumptuously comfortable and scrupulously clean. I can not speak highly...

We have been coming here for over five years now and would not dream of going anywhere else. It is a perfect place to stay, beautiful house and gardens, superb facilities and wonderful hosts in Kathy and Dean who welcome visitors into their fantastic home. Both rooms are wonderfully equipped and spotlessly clean. Breakfast is superb and cooked to order...

After driving down the single track lane , through the gate we wondered where we had come to - but we need not have worried - Scalby Hayes and it's owners were great in every way. One minor point, it might be worth mentioning the rather steep and narrow steps to the bedrooms. We were fine (in our 70's) but...

Our second visit and long overdue. Kathy and Dean are great hosts and very easy to get on with. Scalby Hayes is just perfect in every way. So quiet and peaceful - no children allowed! The breakfasts are superb and Kathy goes out of her way to provide your personal likes - such as our favourite yoghurt! We stayed in...

Kathy was a wonderful host and the B & B a great place to stay with easy access to Scarborough. The B & B was quiet and restful and a good place to escape to after visiting Scarborough. The breakfasts were great and the room and the room very comfortable. Barrie & Audrey Perth Australia

We enjoyed our sixth visit as much as our previous five, i.e. immensely. The warmest of welcomes to the quietest and most comfortable of homes together with the luxurious bath (in Waterside) offer a special treat. The visit from the cake fairy and the sitting-room log stove conspire to make your holiday a midsummer nights dream whatever the season.
