We stayed 2 nights. Very friendly and accommodating people. Warm and cosy room with plenty of hot water and comfortable beds. Tea & Coffee making facilities. We were late to breakfast on first day so food was a bit overdone (only 1 breakfast time that is 9am). We missed breakfast entirely on the second day as we'd had a late...

As a regular visitor to the Fox and Hounds, I was surprised to find a review headed 'good beer, rude people' as one of the lead headings when using a search engine. When I opened it out of curiosity, I was amazed to find that this review is, in fact FOUR YEARS old. I find it unfair to give such...

We stayed bank holiday weekend. Room spacious and clean television a bit small . Our little jack dog loved it, a nice basket supplied we put his cushion and blanket in it and he was happy. The only complaint was the shower would not drain away and the outside at the bottom needs a little elbow grease around the frame....

Went for a day out to see the waterfalls and visited the pub for lunch. The beer was excellent and the food good quality and value for money. I couldn't decide which beer to have so the lady behind the bar let me sample the two beers to help me decide. Very friendly and clean place. Would certainly go again.

Set in a great picturesque area in a beautiful village the Fox and Hounds provided clean, tidy comfortable accommodation with a very nice en-suite although the shower was not very powerful it did its job. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant was good and tasty and I could not believe how quickly it was...

Lunch is only 12 to 2. We turned up 2:10 but were willingly offered sandwiches which were obviously freshly made. Pub is very small but with tables outside at the front overlooking the green for when the weather is good

Good food (would have had 5 stars but they don't serve Dales Brewing Co beer. Walk from Aysgarth or do a real round trip high on the side of Penhill from West Witton and then back via the Templar chapel

My boyfriend and I stumbled upon this lovely village and pub by accident after a long day walking the footpaths in the area. We were immediately greeted with a friendly atmosphere. The menu had a lot of tasty looking options and we decided on the special seafood starter, tomato soup, the chicken burger, and the fish cakes. We also had...

We booked for the 1940s weekend at Leyburn, although West Burton is 7miles away, when we arrived at the Fox and Hounds we were greeted by a friendly barman (whose name i forgot to ask) who showed us to our room and a parking space. Our room was clean, comfortable and en-suite with toiletries provided. A table was automatically booked for...
