We spent two nights in this super equipped and comfortable cottage. Doubtful Sounds Wilderness Cruise Line is only 5 min walking distance, so it was a perfect location for us. Lake Te Anau is abt. 20 min by car and offers a lot of restaurants.

Great stay on two separate nights here. Very well appointed cottage, cosy and spotlessly clean with all amenities you need. Some very thoughtful little touches and the owners so welcoming and obliging . Would love the opportunity to revisit

We quite enjoyed our stay at the cottage, like many properties in NZ, there were no insect screens on any of the windows if you wanted a little fresh air. Manapouri is a lovely quiet village with just enough services to keep you going. The cafe around the corner has great coffee and breakfast, along with free wifi.(which would have...

My family and I stayed here last week for a night and the moment we walked through the door we couldn't believe how beautiful this place is. I'm not talking about the renovations (although they are very beautiful as well), I'm talking about the atmosphere. It was a long rainy cold drive from Queenstown and Jessie kindly opened the heat...

We stayed at Manapouri for 4 nights in Feb/March this year, The cottage was very well equipped, very clean and comfortable, and Jessie was helpful with bookings for the Doubtful Sounds Cruise. The cottage is in a quiet cul-de-sac in the Manapouri village and is an ideal spot to base yourself for tramping and the Doubtful and Milford Sounds.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 day stay in this wonderful cottage. The mountain scene at sunrise is spectacular. The lake, just a block away, is a beautiful place to sit in the evenings....so many stars! It was delightful to meet Ray and hear his enthusiasm about his town and country. He pointed us to great hikes, and he and Jessie...

This was the best value for money self contained family accommodation we stayed in whilst in New Zealand. Hands down! Right near the lake, magnificent views and a very quiet and peaceful location that is ideal to explore Doubtful & Milford Sound, the Kepler track and very convenient to Queenstown. The cottage is actually a fully stocked 3 bedroom home...

“This house is approx 20 kms from Te Anau so if you are travelling to Milford Sound, this house is a bit far off as compared to houses in Te Anau but if you are driving like we did then distance is not an issue and also house rent is cheaper as compared to rents in 'Te Anau'.”
