We arrived in the pouring, driving rain and were a little rattled. But looking out on the beauty that surrounds the inn we quickly relaxed and enjoyed. The meal in the restaurant was outstanding-although we were sad to learn that it would not be open for the remainder of our stay. We read, walked, hiked and distressed. It was a...

The ecolodge is great for exploring el Yunque! There are many trails close to the property, both short ones and longer ones that will keep you hiking for many hours. Basically, there is something for everyone here. There are also waterfalls in which one can swim nearby. The breakfast is very good and consists of delicious fruit, porridge, and sandwiches...

Listen, you will NOT regret staying here. We flew into San Juan airport, rented a car and drove down the middle of Puerto Rico to Punta Santiago and then up through Naguabo to the lodge. From the main highway to the lodge it is roughly 30 min of off-the-beaten- path driving (that I would not recommend taking a taxi/uber/etc to--we...

We loved our stay at Casa Cubuy. Located on the southern side of El Yunque, it is quieter and feels like more of a retreat than the more populated north side of the forest. Hiking to the waterfalls and swimming pools, there was a sense that we had the forest to ourselves. The rooms are large and the porches offer...

Straightforward ecolodge / B&B with character. We stayed 4 nights and used the place as a jumping off point to cover the east side of the island. View is wonderful with a nice private hike to a waterfall below. Breakfast and common area are charming. Owners are charming and knowledgeable. The restaurant was a pleasant and convenient surprise when it's...

We stayed at Casa Cubuy as part of a birding vacation and we loved it. This charming lodge is located 1500 ft above sea level on the southern side of El Yunque National Forest. The actual border of the forest is a short walk uphill from the lodge. Our room was spacious but simple, as expected, overlooking a deep forested...

We spent 2 nights at this enchanting lodge, high up in the mountain rain forest. The owners Mary Ann and Mathew are helpful and friendly, the place is unique and charming, breakfast is a real treat and the trails around and below are a magnificent. If you're looking for an authentic rainforest experience without the crowds this is your place....

The owners (mother and son) have two properties. We booked at the Casa Cubuy Ecolodge, but upon arrival, we were told by the mother that we had to go down the hill to the son's property (Wind Hill). After much arguing, and actually driving back and forth down and up a very long, very narrow, winding road, the son agreed...
