We stayed at this marvellous B&B for a second time this year and enjoyed it enormously. The excellent, charmingly styled room had a lovely view over the garden and canal. The classical french decor, varnished floorboards and comfortable bed was complemented by a modern well appointed en-suite bathroom. The sitting room that is shared between the four B&B rooms has... Great stay at this b&b, nice rooms with a lot of character and charm and very clean. I loved the mini bar...champagne bottles for all tastes you can sip in the garden overlooking the canal. Breakfast was great, lovely selection of charcuterie and home made jams. They have internet access but beware there is not much to do in town... More

We visited during the champagne festival in December. We took a trip out from Epernay to visit. They opened up the tasting room for us when it looked like they were closed for lunch which was a lovely touch. We tasted 6 different champagnes and within the group, I think we all purchased different ones, which just goes to show... More

Our friends had visited a number of years ago and loved it, so a group of us decided to stay her on our weekend in the Champagne area. We were not disappointed. The rooms are simple but comfortable, and the garden is lovely for enjoying a glass of the house wines, most of which are available from the honesty fridge... More

We went to the Champagne region for the first time over the Easter long weekend - as two couples to experience the French hospitality, countryside and champagne of course! Guy Charbout was a hidden gem - their rooms were simple but comfortable with good attention to detail. Key highlights included their delicious champagne, the cellar tour and champagne pairing dinner,... More

I would stay again. I prefer the quaint places to stay and this is located in the heart of Champagne. The rooms are simple but the overall ambience is wonderful. Also if you go when they do the dinner and tasting it is well worth it, the food and champagne pairings were amazing; and you get to meet all kinds... More

This was our second stay at Guy Charbaut chambres d'hotes and Champagne, the first as a couple last year and this year as a group of ten and once again it exceeded our expectations. The rooms are all of a similar high standard, some with views over the Marne canal and others over the pretty courtyard, but all well appointed... More

Booked this by email last minute as a stopover on way back from Austria. Really impressed twin room with lounge/kitchenette and ensuite shower room. Parking in courtyard. Great breakfast in what looks like a medieval banquet hall with huge tables. Good selection of continental breakfast. Really pleased we took the opportunity to tour the cellar and sample the champagne. We... More

70 euros for a double room B&B per night. The room was very comfortable overlooking the canal and breakfast plentiful. There is a communal lounge with TV and facilities for making hot drinks (plus a minibar stuffed with champagne!). We've booked by mail, and Madame Charbaut always answered our questions very quickly. Once we arrived, we've got a very warm welcome. The rooms are so charming, clean and cosy, I've had such a good night sleep. Maybe also thanks to the bottle of champagne we drank in the wonderful garden, with a nice river view.
