We stayed here for 2 nights whilst attending a wedding in Sherborne, we had a very warm welcome from the owners Maria & Simon. The food was fantastic quality and freshly prepared. The room was very clean, comfortable and had everything you needed. Great wi fi which is must these days. We would have no hesitation recommending a stay here.

Used this charming little Hotel as an overnight stop over once again. Excellent room, clean and comfortable. Good restaurant with an ample menu and wine list, and good service. Would definitely recommend.

We have just moved in to the area and been told how good the local pub is. On a Thursday night the pub was less than half full yet the service was friendly but slow. The food was OK at best, for the price not good value for money at all. Nearly £13 for a pie that has cold chips,...

Thank you for taking the time to write your review. We were very dissapointed to hear you did not enjoy your meal at the Chetnole. We pride ourselves on offering good service and value for money which, judging by the feedback we receive we do achieve. We would always ask customers if they are not happy with any aspect of...

I stayed for two nights and ate dinner twice. This is perhaps more of a 'restaurant with rooms' than a pub but it still has an extensive and colourful local trade. Comfortable, well-furnished room. The owners and staff were very friendly and welcoming but also very professional. Their answer if I asked for anything out of the ordinary (and I...

We ate at the Chetnole inn on a friends recommendation we weren't disappointed! The food was very reasonable in price and very well cooked and presented! Our only slight complaints were that the meals varied slightly in appearance and quantity on 2 different days maybe a different chef perhaps? The belly pork came without crackling the first time it was...

This gorgeous little pub can be found in a pretty village between Yeovil and Sherborne, we stopped by there last night, fancied a drink sat in the sunshine, well we ended up staying rather longer than one drink! The garden is pretty and shared with the chickens so bet your sweet life the eggs are truly free range, we started...

Highly recommend the Chetnole Inn. We spent three nights there. Maria, Simon, their gorgeous children and the staff were welcoming, friendly and attentive. We stayed in the Hardy room which was warm, spacious and very comfortable. The attention to detail was outstanding (even down to a jar of fudge & mints). As for the food, well, if your looking for...

Stayed the weekend for family reunion. Hosts couldn't do enough for us. Rooms beautiful, overlooking the village church, quiet, peaceful. Real coffee in the rooms, rarely seen in B&Bs. Evening meals excellent but the best meal was breakfast. Chunky fresh bread, smoked salmon and scrambled egg, my personal favourite but the full English looked fab too. Excellent value.

Having been given a short break for Christmas, we found a place in Dorset, what a place. The Chetnole Inn is a little gem and we will definitely be returning. The room the Henchard( Mayor of Casterbridge) was cosy and comfortable with a great view. Food was great with Simon cooking the first night and Matt the second the choice...

We stayed here when we attended a friend's wedding. This place is a real treat if you want comfort and great service. The pub has a good range of local beer. Maria and Simon made us feel very welcome. The bedroom was large and comfortable overlooking a lovely quiet churchyard and don't miss the breakfast - all the food is...
