I unexpectedly needed somewhere to stay in Kommetjie. Its a lovely place. Two very diverse locals suggested I try The Guinea Fowl House..So I did. Michelle , the owner, a ceramic artist, runs her charming B&B with the help of Josephine. The house which is very light, is decorated with soft neutral colours, the garden, home to a huge tortoise and...

This was a great find! We stayed 2 nights and will go back in a heartbeat. The bathroom and bedrooms were top quality and we never felt like we shared the house with anyone else. It's close to the beach, so if surfing or running is something you enjoy this is perfect. We also felt very safe the entire time.

We stayed a couple of nights and enjoyed our stay enormously. The rooms are so nicely decorated that it is difficult not fall in love. From both rooms upstairs one has access to a spacious balcony with a fantastic view of the ocean which is only a short walk away. The breakfast provided was always delicious and we highly appreciated...

We (family of five) had a fabulous 2 night stay at Guinea Fowl House. We loved the relaxed feel - and the lovely light rooms. We were made to feel right at home. The breakfast was delicious and set us up for the day. Guinea Fowl is well placed to explore Cape Point...Camps Bay, Boulders etc.

Michelle is an amazing host! A warm and open person, full of secret hints what to see/and to do in and around Kommetje. The rooms are light and full of tiny, lovely details - we felt "home away from home" from the very first second! Thanks so much for your great hospitality! We'll definitely be back, once!

Stayed with my young son for an extended period and in both the garden unit as well as upstairs. The garden calms you down after a busy day and the breakfasts are the best for kicking off a great day! Michelle really makes you feel incredibly welcome. Close by is Kommetjie beach for nice walks (150m away). There are a...

Michelle and her Guinea Fowl House really exceeded my expectations! She goes the extra mile to help and make sure that your stay is comfortable and pleasurable. The room was beautifully decorated, neat, clean and spacious, with a lovely view over the adjoining wetland. The night was filled with gentle frog song and being so close to the shore one...

I spent the night as a single traveller, looking to get away from the city bustle. And this place certainly assisted in the relaxation. My room had a lovely outlook on the common below, I drove to Scarborough and around Kommetjie, very pretty village. Flamingos in the bay, white sandy beach covered in kelp looking onto Hout bay and the...

Set a minute's walk back from a beautiful white sandy beach, Guinea Fowl guest house borders on a wetland with exquisite sea and nature views. There are hardly any lights at night and tons of birdsong in the day. Owner, Michele has brought her artistic touch to the entire guesthouse and garden, which is comfortable and peaceful.
