Very clean room and everywhere else. Friendly staff and a really good value for money. Good laundry service and every morning a little “present” at the room door (a fruit juice and a cake), nice gesture:-)
Like the majority of travellers to Lahad datu, I stayed one night before heading on. Really happy I ended up in House 11. Found the place really lived up to the reviews. The room was spotless with a nice shower. There is a great balcony on which to relax in the evening. The staff are lovely. Always keen to help and very smiley. They really make you feel comfortable and look after you. Location-wise, there are restaurants nearby and the centre of town is only a short walk away. They arranged for transport to the airport, as well as a taxi to take me onto my next destination. Was great for peace of mind knowing they could help out. Overall, I highly recommend House 11.
Like more travellers, we stayed here one night to break up the journey from Sukau to Semporna (or for other travelling to Danum valley). Looking back at our stay, I would not go for another option in the area. - for the price paid, the place was extremely modern. In fact, construction works for even newer rooms were going on when we stayed there (no noise issues). Rooms were clean and modern with ac and perfect bed. - location wise it's fine; from banks to supermarkets, all is in walking distance. One note here though; the place is located in a block just outside the centre/busy street. If I were to be a female travelling alone, I am not sure I would walk the way from the main street to the place by night. I am not saying that it felt unsafe, but I just would not recommend it. - fair price - check in was efficient - when we had struggles to find a Grab to take us to Semporna, it was fine to wait in the main general area for the taxi to arrive Adding it all up, if we had to stay in Lahad Datu again, we would definitively go for this place!…
Highly recommended! Clean and air-conditioned room. We stayed there for several days. Daily housekeeping was also provided which was nice! Situated at a housing area where there is a bank, personal care store (Watsons), few restaurants (KFC, dessert place, etc) just walking across the street so guests do not have to worry about food availability. Facilities such as water dispenser, ironing, kitchenette (if you are lazy to dine out and wanted to cook) are available inside House11. Safety-wise, they have a in-house guard to patrol. Staffs are kind and friendly to assist too!
If, like us, you have no choice but to stay 1 night in Lahad Datu then definitely stay here! Lahad Datu is pretty grim and bleak but this place offers a nice reprieve with cheap and comfortable private rooms. We pretty much just stayed inside until our early morning transfer out! Free water refills also a nice touch
