It was a pretty awful place to stay. There was no hot water, and when I tried to call the reception to let them know, the phone did not work. After having a cold shower, I went to the hotel counter to ask, and the staff were pretty nonchalant about it, saying that certain rooms simply didn't have hot water. The room is dirty; the furnishings are stained and old-looking. The television didn't work too - didn't bother asking the staff for help, because it would probably have meant another meaningless trip to the reception counter. I would certainly never opt to stay at this hotel again if I had a choice.

Save yourself the trouble and book a hotel in Lahad Datu, If you need to come out to the Felda plantations in Tandao, make a day trip and save yourself a lot of stress and worry. This resort is badly managed, badly financed and maintained and there seems to be very little interest in maintaining it. Room rates do not justify the standards.

Rooms are not clean. Far from shops. Too isolated. Nothing much to do. Food is horrible. Beach is unsafe for swimming. Insects bite near the beach. Nothing to look forward to. In fact there is nothing much in sahabat that is interesting.

They increase the price but didnt bother to upgrade the place. The room was full of ants and their bed sheets were not that white (if u know what i mean) Room service didnt even clean the room properly. Staff not that friendly and helpful.

Stayed here for a night on work trip. Room very spacious but look and smell old. Relatively clean. No shower screen but the shampoo is really nice. Breakfast with so limited choice and not so nice, unsatisfactory. Look for other tasty food elsewhere. There's a nearby food stalls and at night you can eat cheap seafood there with tasty 'sambal air asam'. There's a verandah but it is not quite clean and I will not hang out there to see the view.

If anyone would come here is for a conference. Except for the peacefullness, with the location and no other means of transport into the resort, you can only rely on the hotel for food, although there is one small eatery available within walking distance. The a/c in my room were freezing cold as it was switched to the lowest temperature and its remote would not work. Bed is not the cleanest as there are stains, shower screen is missing, and the nicest thing i found during my stay was their brand new soft shower towels which smells very good. The beach is fenced from the resort for security reasons I guess but it just feel funny for a seaside resort. Breakfast selection is also very limited, lunch is always fixed and not buffet style, as well as dinner. Not a typical seaside resort to be at.…
