Stayed in this hotel in August 2020. Booked for standard room.
Room - Don't expect a 5 star Hotel but it is the best by its standard actually in Lahad Datu.
There is small fridge for you to keep your drinks cold. :)
Good location as it is in the town center and near to shopping area.
They provide free parking.
Cleanliness - So so.
Cons,
1. My bed sheet not that good. please refer photo attached.

This hotel located in a center of a small town Lahad Datu. Just 6km from Lahad Datu Airport. Towel, toiletries given. Wifi service available and faster.

Nothing to do at this town, but if you're brave enough, you should spent your time walking around Pasar Rakyat Lahad Datu and feel like you're at some part of Philippines maybe.

Hard to find any good & clean restaurant here, so hotel restaurant is the best choice. Food price outside hotel also a little bit expensive compared to its quality. Hotel staff is friendly & helpful.

Overall compared to price you pay, this hotel still a good choice for your money.

Close to the airport, local eateries and supermarket. I expect it to be as good as most of the others.
The room is fine but it's a pretty old hotel, the wifi in the rooms is weak but is good in the lobby or at breakfast. Breakfast is simple but fine. 1 fruit, bread a kaya, eggs, rice porridge and either fried rice or noodles.
There are a lot of beggars around and sadly there is loads of plastic rubbish and rats wondering the drains. Not a place to explore comfortably as a tourist that stands out.

Good location which right in the middle of town (near Lahad Datu Centre Point and another shopping mall) and clean room. Easy to grab a bite near by restaurant or cafe. Lahad Datu downtown does get very quiet at night so do not expect much happening.

Hotel breakfast is limited choice.

Great for short stopover if you wanna rest after a long drive from Sandakan or Tawau.

We arrived in the small village of Lahad Datu for an overnight stay at Silam Dynasty hotel.

We found check in to be quick and efficient, our room spotless and adequate space and amenities. I enjoyed the view across the street where local people go about daily shopping. This is a place where people like us have a stopover on the way to the rainforrest and we really did not have high expectations for the small 3 star establishment. We were very pleasantly surprised and happy we chose this place considering some of the previous comments. we found the manager to be extremely helpful and pleasant and we were dropped at the airport in plenty of time for our flight.

The hotel cafe provided ordinary food but the place across the road has the most delicious roti for breakfast. The food market is worth a visit for the look and smell of the barbecue fish and the most delicious homemade doughnuts. Friendly helpful people made our stay here very enjoyable.

To be honest I'm not sure you would find a better hotel in Lahad Datu. With that said this doesn't mean we had a good experience at the hotel.

This incredible charmless hotel is situated in the middle of the equally charmless city of Lahad Datu. We stayed a night here before going to the Tabin Wildlife Resort. If you are on a similar trip, try to avoid staying in Lahad Datu and catch the early flight from Kota Kinabalu instead.

Our room was alright besides the connecting door without a sufficient lock and the fact that the sprinklers still had the plastic on which usually sits there when the system is being mounted. When asking the reception they informed us that the rooms didn't have sprinklers in them. They were only convinced once we showed them We asked for another room where the sprinkler would be in order only to find that that room didn't have a functional sprinkler either. The manager assured us that this was due to an upcoming inspection however we doubt that you would tamper with your fire safety with an inspection coming up. With a failing sprinkler system one could only wonder what the status of other fire safety systems would be.

The restaurant has a "nice" hospital feel to it and the service just wasn't there.

I stayed here twice, both one-night stay, and both on work trips. The price is very good for a clean room with coffee & tea making facility, and ironing facility sent to your room. Nice breakfast, quite delicious. Helpful and friendly counter service. If you get a room at the front facing the main road, the view is ok but don't bother open the curtain in the back room 'cause you'll be facing the backside of an old building, with its dwellers cooking, washing clothes or even go in & out of their toilets. Slippers provided in the room.

If you have to stay in Lahad Datu then this is probably the best of a bad bunch. Clean, safe (relatively) and, if you give the porter cash, they'll get you beer to your room!

But I think you should really question why you are spending any longer than necessary in Lahad Datu. Wiki Travel - "things to do in Lahad - Nothing; things to do in Lahad - nothing" ... and they've got it about right!
