After months of isolations due to the MCO we decided to take a trip to Sabah with a stop in Lahad before moving to Danum Valley. Ithisa Simon and the 2 little girls are simply amazing. We were welcomed like their family members. We travelled with our 1 year old son and tons of toys were ready for him. ithisa is a super chef who cooked for us a delicious Laxas Johor served in a romantic set in the private garden. The room is nice, clean and very comfortable. Definitively a place to stop before moving to the Valley
We stayed pre and post Tabin Reserve trip. We received a warm welcome by Itisha and her family. We chilled in their lovely garden and had a refreshing dip in pool...and yes, we also had an amazing dinner. So many different flavors, sooo tasty and filling. It was a real treat. On the second night Itisha cooked another lovely meal which we shared with the family and fellow travellers. It was so lovely to enjoy Malay hospitality and chat with the family over a glass of drink. Simon served up a breakfast feast which was really tasty and fueled us up for the day ahead. He also dropped us off at the airport. We slept well on both nights. We try to refrain from using wi-fi much when we travel but on this occasion we needed to change our travel arrangements at short notice and it was really helpful to have access to fast wi-fi. We were shown a great hospitality during a very worrying and uncertain time.…
Visited this B and B for one night to have a break whilst travelling between the Kinabatangan and Rain Forest. So glad we did! There is a lovely feeling of calm to Simon and Tisha’s home, we were tired and spent the afternoon around their little pool. The room was spotless and the bed very comfortable. The absolute highlight of our stay was the authentic Malay meal cooked for us by Tisha. It was by far the best dinner we had during our three weeks in Malaysia. Fresh yellow fin tuna from the market that morning, soya curd which had been marinated and cooked for hours, curried squash, green mango salad, pineapple in coconut all lovingly served on a large banana leaf and explained to us by Tisha. Dessert was tapioca, salted caramel and palm sugar with vanilla ice cream, all quite delicious. We were lucky enough to have our dinner around their pool which was all lit by candlelight, it was a wonderful and memorable evening, thank you. Breakfast was substantial and freshly cooked, Simon and Tisha are wonderful hosts and it was a privilege to stay in their home with their delightful young family, I can highly recommend this B and B.…
Me and a friend wanted to book active holidays around Sabah and we found a ton of travel agencies offering packages to do so. What Tisha and Simon from "Bike and tours" offer is not just "another holiday package"! They tailored each detail to meet our wishes, treating us like family! They work with local guides, promote eco-tourism and have the most welcoming and comfortable bed and breakfast in Lahad Datu! Flavoured fresh water and homemade cookies by the pool? Amazing homemade dinner and breakfast with flowers and fruits from the garden? Welcoming smiles and goodbyes each time we come and go? They have it all for you! The accommodation is very very clean and quiet. They have a very nice cat, which only stays outside or in the common areas. We got a room with a direct door to the swimming pool and 2 huge beds! The laundry service was also spotless. We were sad we didnt stay there more time!…
We stayed one night on our way to Tabin wildlife reserve. The welcome was warm, the dinner superb. The best meal so far in Malaysia. Lots of good advise. The room with en-suite was modest but clean. I really recommend this B&B.
