Did not realise that most park offices close at 6pm. Got the number for Taranna Cottages from my Camps Australia App. Phone was answered by a very polite gentleman and we were told 'no problem, come on in' . Out of our week stay in Tasmania this was the pick of our camp sites. We were made welcome on arrival...

Stayed there as it was close to Port Arthur. The owner was very friendly and helpful, and the cottage was very sweet. It has a separate bedroom, living room (with an open fire), kitchen, bathroom and toilet. It had all the amenities to cook our evening meal and breakfast, which was a great way to save some money. The bed...

This was the best camping trip so far. There was plenty of space, (unlike caravan parks), the kids had a ball from riding their bikes, playing cricket, making friends and playing in the bush and the fire at night was a great way to get to know people and have a laugh. Although there are not BBQ, shower or fresh...

We stayed one night in one of these cottages a few weeks ago. I had been rushed when booking and was a bit surprised when driving in that it was not a normal caravan park. In reception I was met by Marje, who couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful. We were very dubious when we approached the front door,a...

We did not stay in the accommodation but visited the café for a coffee and ended up visiting the museum. In a word the museum was awesome! Very impressed with the whole interactive audio visual display. An amazing effort has been made to create authenticity. The owner was friendly and very informative. Thank you for transforming a wet chilly day...

What a wonderful place to stay. Colin, Marje and dog Patch were all so welcoming. They gave a terrific explanation of everything local and points of interest. The cottage was very very clean, extremely comfortable and warm. I highly recommend this accomodation. Also pay a visit to the museum, it's terrific and acknowledges the traditional indigenous owners of the land....

Calm serene remote location, away from all the touristy hustle-bustle. Comfortable stay in wilderness spotting wild hare, wallabies and birds just outside the door. Also has camp site parking and camp fire pits if weather permits.
