A great cheap hostel that feels homely and is comfortable. We paid 40,000 pesos for a small double room. This is by far, the cheapest double we have had in Colombia. Positives: Great kitchen with fridge Sweet garden with hammocks Big communal area for chilling Wifi is ok Owner sometimes bakes bread and leaves it out for everyone to eat... More

We had a great stay at Le Papillon and would recommend it when staying in San Gil. Sylvain and his wife were super helpful and made sure our stay in San Gil was as smooth as possible. He can help you do anything from activities to calling cabs and booking onward journeys! Rooms give out on a nice Patio and... More

We stayed here one night in a private room. The rate is very economic and the rooms, kitchen and outdoor area are very nice. Nice owners as well. They will help you plan all your adventures! Also provide coffee all day for free!

This place was great! The room was a good basic room, great prices, great coffee, great owners! It's been a good location for us and the owners were extremely helpful with whatever we needed whether it was directions or bookings. Spacey kitchen, the bathrooms were clean, comfy living room area in the middle. It isn't noisy or boring and they... More

The owner was very helpful with his recommendations. Make sure you ask about a river hike, called the Pescadito (?) Hostel was nice enough, clean, quiet, central, good wifi, hot water, lots of space, kitchen etc. There is a resident dog and a cat, very sociable, so you must like animals. Priced very well. Recommended.

Great hostel for great price. Double room was basic but ideal. Kitchen was clean, plenty of common areas. Staff were friendly and helped us book white water rafting (fully recommend) and gave us info on different things to do in the area. Only downsides: only two toilets so sometimes you had to wait and kitchen wasn't open during lunch time.... More

Almost seems to cheap to be true but Sylvain, the owner, is a perfect host, took us mountain biking around for half day (for free) and was always full of good recommendations. Also recommending the rafting activity here, very nice team with very nice meal served afterwards!

A very nice place, there is everything you need : free drinkable water, free home made bread and marmelade in the morning, kitchen, garden, hammocks, computer, just a few blocks away from the center. And it is very cheap! There's a grocery store just accross the street. Sylvain and Ximena, the owners are very nice and friendly. Sylvain speaks fluently... More
