My sister and I stayed for two nights mid-September of 2015 and wish we had had at least one more day. The hummingbirds were amazing and lots of other birds around the lodge and at the blind. Nancy was a great hostess and Rosalita served...More
Stayed two nights did not have that much luck on the trails but lots of action around the lodge feeders.
The food is ok and the rooms are small with comfortable beds.
Nancy takes good care of her guests.

I would contact them directly. We stayed there so our experience was bit different. The Lodge is about an hour from Quito. Not much birding, but there are a few spots worth a few minutes, on the way. Once you turn off the paved road and head up river there is biding all along the road. The guide will know the hot spots. Would probably want to spend an hour or two at the Lodge for the hummers. The guide we had spoke good English.
