Arrived at the hotel - looked gorgeous from the outside! Asked the hotel what time food was served and they told us they weren't doing food as they had a "ball on". Upon returning to the hotel there was no parking and so we were forced to wedge our way up next to a tree (due to lack of spaces...

The General Manager has tried to contact this reviewer to discuss this Trip Advisor Review without success. He has however interviewed the staff and a junior trainee chef has admitted wolf whistling the guests and consequently he has been dealt with via disciplinary action, and I can only but apologise for his unprofessional behaviour. Regarding the room booking, having spoken...

We arrived at around 3pm. Long country drive wondering where on earth this road was going to take us. Upon arriving the hotel looked absolutely beautiful. So peaceful and alone (exactly what we were looking for) Check in was fine and first impressions from the grand reception areas was lovely. We were checked into room 6. Upon opening the door...

Thank you for TA review. To clarify a few points you raised. Breakfast times are 0800 - 09.30 hrs (though if guests are not down we do stay open till 10am), and evening dinner orders are taken 6.30pm to 8pm, though dependent on the number of guests, or by request, this (and breakfast) may be extended or arrangements made for...

Only stayed one night but it was great. We stayed in one of the executive rooms which was huge, modern & spotlessly clean. Almost got lost in the super king-size bed! We had a complimentary cream tea on arrival & a full English breakfast in the morning. Food was lovely. My advice is to book directly with the hotel, -...

We booked 2 rooms for 2 nights over the Easter weekend and had to leave after one night. As much as the house is in a beautiful location and has some lovely features, it needs much TLC and attention. We arrived Easter Sunday. Both our allocated rooms were the in Courtyard. Our daughters twin room (17) was bright, clean and...

Thank you for taking the time to write into Trip Advisor. I have discussed the points you have raised with the General Manager. Unfortunately some things such as the boiler system, did fail us on the day, and this has now been rectified. Your point regarding the breakfast has been brought to the attention of the Head Chef and the...

We visited Hackness Grange for afternoon tea. The main manor house and gardens was lovely in the sunshine with a lovely pond, ducks & geese etc. We were offered to sit outside but it just wasn't warm enough. The food was very good and a second pot of tea was provided. we sat in a lounge which was well furnished...

We visited the hotel recently after years of driving past to walk the dogs. We had the best Sunday lunch for some time. The food was much better than expected (certainly not average hotel food) and very good value. The staff were very friendly and efficient and the decor very comfortable, with a pleasant view. We hope to make this...

taking the scenic route to the coast we have often driven past this place and wondered what it was all about. Yesterday afternoon we opportunistically called in. We were greeted by a cheerful individual called Lenny. Although I made a slightly unusual request, he was happy to oblige. From the patio area, we ended the day watching the setting sun...

We were doing family history research in the area and came across this place by accident. We stopped for afternoon tea. The staff were welcoming and helpful, and we decied then that next time went to that part of Yorkshire this is where we would stay.

Took my Mum for a late Mothers Day afternoon Tea. The place is on the doorstep, well near enough anyway. Booked through Groupon which was so easy. On arrival greeted by charming staff, which didn't change throughout the visit. Was quickly taken through to our seats and met by a a waiter who was polite, professional and extremely friendly. Waited...
