Had a lovely relaxing week in a suite (side sea view) rooms are fabulous, breakfast great however would have preferred real coffee instead of a machine. No problem getting a Sunbed anytime of day. Very relaxing by the pool with background music. Would have liked to see more snacks in the pool menu as it’s mostly dinner items with a few salads. Also no waiter service from sunbeds. A few steps from your sun lounger to the beautiful playa de muro beach. Evening entertainment is good. They also had a big screen for the football. A 7 minute walk takes you to nearby las gaviotas which has a few nice restaurants bars and shops. 10-15 minutes takes you to playa de muro area with more restaurants. A taxi less than €10 and plenty of buses will take you there or up to Alcudia beach and port. The reason I gave only 4 stars is the sun loungers are old and quite uncomfortable. They need to replace or add a padded cushion and would prefer if there was waiter service from sun lounger instead of queuing at bar to order drinks. We had a lovely week and would definitely return.

Definitely not a 5 star hotel, not even a 4 star, more like a 3.5. The hotel has heaps of potential but sadly is badly in need of an update - wobbly taps, sinks which dont drain properly, scruffy decor, uncomfortable sunbeds with tiny pool towels, etc. There is a charge for beds on the private beach and the 4 poster sunbeds around the pool. Breakfast appears great at first but is of a poor quality - scrambled egg made from powder, dry hard breads, pastries as you would get in a supermarket packet, etc. After a few days you really dont want it any more. Staff are polite but ineffective. Booked 3 people into a suite and no provisions were supplied for the 3rd person (only 2 of everything - chairs on balcony, towels, mugs, glasses, robes, slippers, water, etc). Sofa bed mattress really thin and no bedside table, lamp, waste basket, etc in the room. Requested all these things on the day after arrival and got some of them (but not all) 3 days later, half way through the holiday. All feels a little tatty and in need of some tlc. If it was advertised as a 3 star plus you would at least know what to expect and not be disappointed but this is definitley not a luxury hotel as 5 stars would indicate even by Spanish standards. Have stayed in a 5 star in Soller on the north west of the island and it was in a completely different league.

We were told that the hotel would soon be closing because the Hyatt hotel chain was taking over. What breaks stays broken. The hotel seems more like a ghost hotel, musty rooms with various defects. Air conditioning doesn't work properly. The room door is very, very difficult to open. The remote control never worked because the acid had already leaked out. The rooms urgently need renovation. After a few days at another hotel it was time to try something new. We had looked forward to the hotel, especially from the pictures that were on their website. But it took a drastic turn, the staff were angry and tried to avoid us, and could barely speak English. The rooms were filled with mold and cracks and there stink, the toilet could not roll out. In the morning there was sunshine war and people were up already at 6am to lay down towels. And there were always busy chairs, we got a caesarean salad down in the restaurant by the pool and there were small hard stones in it, and the salad was not rinsed properly. Can not recommend at all!!!

We love the location it’s just excellent and rare direct access to the beach. Despite this, the hotel has become a little bit outdated and there is a need for refurbishment. The actual 5 star hotel respective services, rooms food etcetera would rather suit 4 star +. However we have understood the hotel will be completely upgraded next year under the new Hyatt brand.

It says in the hotels info that there is daily cleaning, but that has not been the case for us. The room has not been cleaned properly, the bed linen has not been changed. We spoke to someone at reception about this, he said it should be cleaned properly the next day, but it was not done, and was not done during the week we stayed here. On the floors in the room we found old, used plasters, toys from other guests, and generally a lot of dust and dirt in corners and along the walls. The toilet occasionally wouldn't flush, the bathroom trash can was broken, the phone in the bedroom didn't work, the appliances in the kitchen were broken (and extremely old). The main door was very hard to open and close. Unforgettable experience in this fabulous hotel, it is the fifth time we have come and the whole team makes us feel at home. From Joan and Jara in reception who always help us in everything and strive to give us excellent service. Also at breakfast and dinner is to be appreciated the quality of the products and the special attention my daughter who is celiac, with dishes prepared at the moment outside the buffet. The latter conditions us a lot when traveling and choosing a hotel, and at the Palace of Muro they are very aware. Congratulations to all the xefs. In the pool area they have a snack bar for snacking at noon and both Mari and Ramon, great hospitality professionals, continue to provide a top service with the help of young Jeroni with his permanent smile. Very clean hotel. Well located with direct access to the most beautiful beach of the island la Playa de Muro. 20 minutes walk along the beach and you come across a very cute bridge and beach restaurants. The pool is not large but sufficient and even in the middle of July I found the hotel quiet and uncrowded. The hotel has a kids club. Sunbeds are free. There is little animation it is a quiet hotel and we enjoyed it. If you like entertainment and partying this hotel is not for you. At 8 minutes walk there are plenty of restaurant and souvenir shops. A supermarket is waiting for you at the foot of the hotel. The staff is numerous and there is never any waiting. The pool bar offers the opportunity to eat and drink throughout the day. You must speak English or Spanish French is not understood. Breakfast is great, I advise against dinner though, better walk 10mns and have the choice of restaurants. The hotel is very clean however it is old, the bathroom could be refreshed. Possibility to take the bus (324) to Alcúdia for 3€ a charming little town with a city center and full of shops and restaurants.
