We have just come to the end of a 10 day stay at Prinsotel Dorada. We were welcomed at a stunning reception with cold drinks and friendly staff at reception. I can honestly say Mika and the reception staff provided a service second to none. They made our stay smooth with organising taxis for day trips and beyond ‘Thankyou’.
The hotel is immaculately clean both rooms and grounds. We went Half Board plus and Picco Restaurant is a must serving pizzas, pastas and Sushi which the family loved. The Sangria is also a must here!
We spent some days at the beach a 2 minute walk and the sea is perfect for small children calm and shallow and manned by life guards.
The hotel is perfectly situated close to amenities shops and restaurants.
Lots of sun beds and we never had a problem getting one.
For those mentioning mosquitos a trip to the pharmacy we bought an effective spray that kept them at bay.
The staff at the hotel work so hard and it is a lovely place to stay.
We would recommend this hotel to stay we had such a lovely relaxing time.

Decided on the Prinsotel La Dorada after some indecisiveness, and mightily glad we did. This was our first trip out of the UK as a 3, and also after the last slog of 2 years so a well needed recharge of the batteries was needed.

Arrived early than expected and thought we'd have to wait to check in, but staff were happy to give us our room to settle in which was most accommodating.

The room was spacious and well maintained, with a kitchenette and balcony overlooking the pool. Lots of towels which was a bonus and allowed us not to need them changed too frequently.

The buffet restaurant was a definate highlight, always well stocked for both breakfast and dinner, with amazing selection of foods. Friendly chefs ready to cook up fresh items in front of you, with both healthy and indulgent options. Different themed food options, whilst we were here there were nights with Sushi, Mexican & various roast meat joints, all available along with salads, Tapas, fresh fish, grilled meats, stews and vegetable options.
Then there's the desserts, which were a selection of cakes, sundaes, fruits and ice creams which were always tempting.
There were enough highchairs to go around even during busy periods, and if you needed there was plastic cutlery for the little ones.

The pool was lovely, 3 large pools which were separate but connected, we had ample space for longers but admittedly it was a bit quieter but there seemed to be enough loungers to go around. There was sections of the pool shallow enough for little ones to be in if you didn't want to be around the kiddies pool (which had fountains and a small slide) but also deeper sections further away. Some of the food amenities in the outside areas were still getting ready for the busy period, but that did not detract from our stay as we had what we needed from our half board stay.

Staff were brilliant, always accomodating. The restaurant staff were very engaging and always smiling. They really made you feel like you were part of the hotel family, especially with the kids. A massive 10 out of 10!

The hospitality team were great and had activities for the little ones (and the adults too) both during th day and in the evening. The mini disco was a massive hit, and our little one still loves hearing the songs from it still.

The beach was 5 minutes walk away and was lovely. The sand golden, the water shallow and warm and a lovely view. Just to make you aware the loungers on the beach aren't free but are cheap of you did use them. Lots of Spar shops nearby.

If you want an amazing Ice Cream, not far is Valls Gelato along the strip, with a amazing selection of
flavours at a reasonable price.

I always feel the biggest recommendation you can give a business is if I'd return, and definately for me and my family, and we absolutely cannot wait to return back to Majorca and the l Prinsotel La Dorada.

All in all an amazing holiday!

4th visit here and enjoyed it as much again . It's fair to say it's more geared up for families because rooms are spacious and are equipped perfectly for families to self cater. The daytime restaurant offers an extensive menu of good quality food and drink at very reasonable prices. Many staff were here from previous visits , which is a good sign and all staff were friendly and efficient. As a mature couple who now holiday without children we probably would choose adult only hotels for future holidays but this hotel still rates as one of the best in Playa De Muro we have stayed in.

We have just returned home today from a family holiday (2 adults and our 2 children aged 7 and 5) for 2 weeks at this lovely hotel. I don't usually leave reviews but I really want other people to know how good this hotel really is.

When we arrived we were told it was one of the busiest days of the summer and we were asked if we would spend the 1st night around the corner at Viva Blue with the offer of a free upgrade from our self catering booking to bed breakfast for our stay. After a 1.30am start we just wanted to all be in a swimming pool and we could see how busy everything was so we agreed to this. When we were collected the next morning we were greeted at the hotel by the same lovely welcoming staff who had kept calm and smiling throughout what must have been a pretty stressful couple of days. Not only was our room now available but Jet2 had upgraded us to a deluxe rooftop apartment as a thank you gesture! Wow wow wow, what a room this was! Absolutely beautiful rooftop terrace with daybed, seating areas and a little rooftop pool.

After reading previous reviews I was looking forward to seeing if our children wanted to try out any of the mini club activities. They have never been to a club like this on holiday so I wasn't sure what they would think. However, the amazing Animacion Team were so fantastic, our boys wanted to try out everything. They loved pony riding, high ropes, water carpet, various crafts, learning a dance for the mini show, glitter tattoos, mini discos and not forgetting Froggi's Birthday celebrations 😀 We have to say a special than you to Martijn and Norbert for being such great positive role models to young boys (Martijn- the boys haven't stopped talking about you). Thank you to all the Animacion Team for all the non stop hard work they put in to creating a fantastic experience for children on holiday. The hotel should be so proud of what they do.

The hotel is clean and in a lovely garden area. The supermarket is so handy, normal prices for everything you might need. Tasty food at a good price from the snack van by the pool and a large selection of fresh food at breakfast.

The beach is just a couple of minutes over the road and the bus stop is a minutes walk if you want to venture to Alcudia, C'an Picfort or even Palma. Taxis were also reasonably priced amd the hotel reception staff were happy to call through to book this.

We would totally recommend this hotel to others and we would look at booking a return holiday here.

P.s our children didn't get any mosquito bites. They wore the bands other people have mentioned and we used a kids mosquito repellent on their skin on an evening before heading out. My husband and I got a few but nothing that was a problem, we used the Jungle formula spray and a lemon and teatree shower gel on an evening. I didn't want the mosquito topic to dominate my review as it's just something in the entire Alcudia area and not specific to this hotel.

We stayed here for 2 weeks in August and had 2 rooms, A standard one bed apartment and one deluxe terrace apartment. Overall we didn’t have the best holiday and I wouldn’t return but it was ok & I was grateful to get away.

the negatives:
The rooms were basic and small. We had mould growing around our air conditioning in one room and the place smelt mouldy. Both apartments looked dated, felt a bit dingy and need a refurb.
Communication from the staff at check in was poor. We weren’t told that the drinks in the mini bar of the deluxe rooms were all free so only drank the water. We also saw that some rooms got spirits but these were never put in our deluxe room. We weren’t told about the grill restaurant and only worked this out for ourselves after observing people ordering different food on the terrace.
Service from the majority of staff was average to poor and very slow. It felt like they didn’t really want you there or that they didn’t enjoy their job. We’d often get ignored when we went into the restaurants and waited a long time for any kind of service. Food took a long time to arrive and sometimes didn’t arrive. I walked away from the pool bar on one occasion after being ignored for 5 minutes when there was no one else even waiting.
The evening entertainment was poor and isn’t on every night. We had booked this hotel thinking it would be fun for the kids as it was advertised as a family hotel but it was actually pretty boring. We tried to get to the mini disco at 8 ( an awkward time as it’s when you are usually eating) then had dinner and that was it for the evening.
The mosquitoes are horrendous and we were all bitten multiple times. The hotel makes no attempt to alleviate this problem. We have stayed in Mexico when there was a similar problem and they were frequently spraying and smoking them out.
The area around the hotel isn’t the best, a lot of tacky shops and a few average restaurants.

The positives:
The food was fairly good. There was a good selection on the morning and evening buffets. The food in the grill was of a good standard. Picco was hit and miss, the food was nice but service was slow.
The pool areas were pleasant with plenty of sun loungers
The beach was lovely and in hindsight we should have booked a hotel directly on the beach as this would have worked better for us.
Some staff were friendly and attentive, notably Marco & Christian on the terrace.

We usually book 5 star resorts and changed to this hotel last minute due to Covid affecting our plans so maybe we were expecting too much from this place but I certainly wouldn’t give it 4.5 stars more like 3.5

In dire need of a get away from the routine of life and the past 2 years, the Prinsotel La Dorada offered exactly this. Pre-COVId holidays abroad was usually greeted with people on the 7am dash to “bagsy” a sun bed, well not here. It was 10am wondered to breakfast, and yes sunbeds were a plenty! Stress averted and happy family, there desire to sunbathe alive! The pool was fantastic as well. Cleaned daily of debris from trees plants etc and the clever layout meant that although the area was busy you never felt crammed in, it felt spacious and not on top of each other.

The hotel itself was immaculate in every sense, from the reception to the dining hall and surrounding areas and as there wasn’t an option of all inclusive catering, there wasn’t loads of plastic cups from beer or waste around the site which was lovely! The rooms did the job. We stayed in a baby suite I think it was called and managed two adults and two teenage kids sufficiently. We had option of getting it cleaned daily or not therefore you really couldn’t ask for more.

The dining room was fantastic with a wide range of food and offerings to all backgrounds of foodies! There was a theme daily bringing in additional variety. My only criticism was (AND as you’d get in any mass catering facility) you needed to go when the restaurant opened to guarantee all food was hot! But this by no means meant we were u able to get hot food as meat and fish were cooked in front of you on grills!

As for the staff, they were amazing! I would and hopefully will go back for my next holiday.

Prinsotel la Dorada is one of the cleanest, friendliest hotels I've been too in Majorca. Playa de Muro is a lovely resort too...lots of restaurants and shops just 5minutes from hotel. Great pool, kids entertainment ok but we didn't really need this as pool was all we needed. Cleaning of rooms excellent, snacks and drinks available and onsite supermarket had all you needed and not hugely expensive. The only thing missing from the hotel was All Inclusive option and more lifeguards who physically walked around....the 11 nights we were there I only saw 1 lifeguard walk around and 1 who stayed in the towel hut or helped the staff in the snack caravans. Overall I'd definitely recommend this hotel.

Just come back from a week's stay at the prinsotel. It's one of the nicest hotels we have stayed in and would definitely recommend. We stayed self catering in an apartment and it had everything you needed. Bonus in the bathroom was a walk in shower and a shower over the bath which made things much quicker with two kids!

The hotel is a great location just off the main road so it's quieter, but close enough to shops and restaurants. I would recommend a walk at the parc natural few hundred yards down the road and there is a bus stop near the hotel so you can easily jump on to go to the Port, Old Town, bigger ersoki supermarket etc.

The animation team were fantastic if you have little ones and they also did a few things for teenage age children too. We paid extra to eat in the buffet restaurant twice which I would recommend trying, they gave us a discount on our first meal there too. The salt and Co pool bar was lovely and good snacks on the food truck. Beach is two minutes away. If you go to the beach at sunset and turn right you can walk down to a promenade and watch the sunset behind the mountains. Lots of locals there fishing.

All the staff were very friendly and helpful, pools fantastic and room was cleaned everyday. Wouldn't hesitate to book again.

We had the best time and would definitely recommend.

The staff were super friendly professional and always happy to help.

We booked one of the Royal Terrace apartments but ended up using the terrace very little as the big pools were so much fun and plenty of shallow spaces for our 4yo to be independent too.

This is definitely a family friendly resort so a lot of small children. The mini disco was a big hit with our son and also the Froggi club activities and the team were so lovely.

We booked half board plus (meaning you can access the other restaurants) but we actually found the main buffet restaurant was perfect for us and only ate at the picco pizza restaurant once.

We had access to the club room and benefits, but the snacks were limited so we only took advantage of the free fruit.

On site supermarket was great for essentials, you also get your fridge filled up daily with a few drinks and we also got unlimited tea coffee water and 2 cocktails a day from pool bar with club card.

The location is also a very short walk to the beach (under 5mins) which was great for us.

We had a great family holiday and will definitely return.

Thank you!

Absolutely fabulous hotel. Warm welcome by reception staff.

Our room with its own pool was just perfect and cleaned daily, Housekeeping staff always a smile on their face and a greeting, rooms cleaned daily, very friendly and attentive. Nothing is too much.

Food was fantastic, themed nights but still lots of choice if you did not like seafood night or Mexican as an example. Restaurant staff goes well beyond the call of duty. Marcos, our waiter on the terrace is a gem, the chefs can’t do enough to please their customers, you ask, they deliver!

I would highly recommend this gem, upmarket, stylish, impressive gardens, surroundings and pools, indoor pool and jacuzzi just lovely to relax in.

We shall certainly be back. Thank you for looking after us so incredibly well.
