We went as a family, with two young kids, for 4D3N. We felt very welcomed upon arrival using their airport limo service, with the staff attentive to our needs and helping us with the stroller. We stayed in the corner suite, which included a kitchenette and dining area, where a small fruit basket served as a cute welcome gift. The room was very nice! A crib was made ready for the baby. Housekeeping was attentive to details - even neatly curling up our charging wires.

We probably gained weight from all the good food :) Breakfast buffet was a great balance of variety and quality. Fresh fruits were a good start to the day. Mangoes and papayas are a must-try. Even Chalong Bay Rum was available as a morning drink. Props to one of the ladies who was in charge of the egg station - she always wore a wonderful smile :) For lunches and dinners, we sampled various items at all the other restaurants, like the ribeye, tuna rolls, and giant cookie at SandBox, and the sea-grape salad and steamed sea bass at Takieng. Doppio Cafe (Starbucks) is a good option for a lighter lunch. I was pleasantly surprised at how tasty the Tom Yum Gong beef roll was! We also tried in-room dining - food came quickly and hot.

Kid entertainment was nice and simple - sometimes you don't need all the glamour and excitement. The kids enjoyed playing with the wooden checkers right outside the breakfast restaurant. The kids pool had all the floaty toys that you need. The water was a bit cold I thought, but the kids did not seem to mind. Also, my daughter had some quiet time making crafts at Kids Club and talking with Neena and the other teachers. Meanwhile, the adults enjoyed rejuvenating Quan Spa treatments just next door. The gentleman facial by Khun Took was very relaxing! The after-treatment snacks were nice too, especially the butterfly pea tea. Elsewhere, the kids loved playing on Miao Kao beach, listening to the rhythm of the waves and spotting the odd crab skiddling across sand. I took my kid on a bike ride on a path that goes around a small lake just outside the resort. Simple and memorable :)

Overall, it was a quiet getaway that I had hoped for. Thank you Renaissance Phuket!

It is our second time in Renaissance Phuket and we choose it because it’s all perfection! It is smaller than JW Marriott and that means you will feel more relaxed and “private” here. Besides, no big weddings :)))

The location in a calm Mai Khao area, long beach, green surroundings make it a perfect spot to relax and revive. To buy some souvenirs or try local seafood you go to the Turtle village nearby. The hotel has a shuttle bus and it is very easy to go. We would like to thank the shuttle bus driver for always being on time and his careful driving!

Pls note that if you want to go to Phuket town or more busy areas in Phuket it will take you abt 1-1.5 drive one way.

However, the jewel in the Renaissance crown is the team . Everyone is so sweet, helpful, welcoming and professional. We are so happy to see the same people every year!
The reception team is very fast in replies if you send them your special requests. They do extra mile to help you.
The cleaning fairies do their job perfectly.
Our favourite guys are definitely Mr R, Mr Sek, Mr Sun and Mr Aod who take great care of us on the beach: fresh towels, lemon water and their smiles make our beach experience so special.

Dining is everything you need:
- breakfasts in Loca Vore are full of everything, - ice cream in Doppio is delicious,
- fantastic Takeing restaurant offers fresh and savoury thai food
- and if you miss some italian vibe, Sand Box will surprise you with pizza.
The service is fast and so attentive, thank you our dear Ms Fon and Ms Katya. Bartenders are mixing classic and signature cocktails - they are definitely worth trying.
Yes, food prices are higher than in local diners, but it is a common practice in all 5 star hotels and the quality of food worths the deal.

Today is the last day of our two-week stay at the Renaissance Hotel. We're having a family vacation, two adults and a four-year-old child. The hotel and leisure experience is the most beautiful. The hotel is located in the northern part of the island, very quiet and remote from the bustle, noisy and crowded places. You can enjoy peace and quiet, as well as enjoy the sounds of nature, birdsong, crickets and other locals. The property is small but very well maintained, drowned in greenery, with a wide beach and sunbeds under palm trees. You don't notice any guests at all, nobody bothers you, there are always seats available, both on the beach and by the pool. Hotel service is excellent, cleaning rooms twice a day, changing towels and bed linen daily. Breakfasts are incredibly delicious and varied with a variety of seasonal fruits and vegetables, juices, cheeses, yogurt, pancakes, pancakes, pastries and local cuisine. In total, there are three restaurants and a coffee shop where everyone can find something delicious for themselves. Our favorite spot was the beach restaurant - SandBox, with stunning sunset views.
The hotel has a wonderful kids club where a kid who can't speak English had a daily and enjoyable time. Activities and activities range from drawing, making crafts out of paper, beads and thread, just playing free or feeding fish in the pond. Next to the club, in the shade of the trees, is a children's pool, where even during the hottest lunch hours, you can have free time.
Excellent experience remained of the spa, the place is pleasant and atmospheric, with cozy interior and outdoor shower. There's a beautiful fish pond in the middle. The massage was nice, the services of the center are quality.
The staff at the hotel are incredibly friendly, polite, smiling and social, easy to contact and always welcome. I would like to mention and thank the following guys from SandBox restaurant - Jib, Ing, May, Saow, Pee, Aym, Pond, as well as
Kids Club - Ning, Sea, Neena, Valen
You made our holiday wonderful!
A place you want to go back to ❤️

This is an extraordinary property. The grounds are immaculate -- well maintained, spotless, and lots of greenery. The rooms are recently remodeled, large, and full of useful additions like power outlets that accept plugs from all over the world. The restaurants serve a variety of great food at reasonable prices -- not local restaurant prices, which of course are less, but reasonable as compared to comparable properties. It feels like a boutique property -- not a large Marriott hotel. And don't get me wrong, I like Marriotts (I'm a Titanium/Lifetime Platinum member). But the Renaissance has all the benefits of a full service hotel while maintaining a boutique vibe. It never feels crowded, even at full capacity. We never had a problem getting pool/beach chairs etc. The beach is among the best in Phuket. But what really sets this property apart is the people. The management is great -- the team clearly cares about their guests and their staff. Every encounter with the Renaissance personnel was positive, from the fully engaged management team to the housekeeping staff. It's apparent that they like their jobs and take pride in making the vacation experience special for their guests. We've been to multiple resorts in Thailand -- all are good, after all this is Thailand, where service is always good. But the Renaissance excels in all facets and distinguishes itself as a superior resort in a land of great hotels. This was our second stay at the Renaissance -- it will not be our last.

I got to stay at a newly renovated Renaissance Phuket Resort, and the experience was amazing.

The staff are very well-trained and well-attentive. The newly renovated room was very clean and spacious, and has a nice view of the pond with blooming lotus flowers (We got lucky to see the flower) and lots of fish to make our 2 and 4 year-old excited. The welcoming dessert is better than we expected and we have to say the cake and bakery at this hotel is amazing, especially if you are a chocolate lover.

The bathroom is large with modern equipment including rain showers and importantly a very large bathtub that can sit the whole family of four people with two small kids. We spent quite a fun time in the bathrub.

The breakfast are the standard of the 5 star hotel with many options including a very amazing egg benedict (it is just my favourite) and a wide variety of Thai and Western food. Pancakes and waffles here are very tasty and are our kids favorites.

The kids club have lots of free activities arranged by the staff and we spent quite a bit of time in the morning there. The kids pool next to the kids club have a water slide, and is safe enough for the 4 year old to play alone.

We got a chance to join 2 free gym trainer session at the hotel and we found that the trainer is very knowledgible, and the equipment are of very high quality. (Recommend if you like gym / crossfit)

The beach here is quiet and the wave is strong so we only dip our foot in the ocean, but did not go in. We spent most of the time playing sand (the sand area here is good) and walked around the see airplane took off from distance and try to catch a beach crab.

After we are back, I think this hotel is worth writing review for since we have such a good time. Will def. come back again.

I'm at the hotel now. Everything is fine!! The hotel is located in a secluded area away from crowds of people and roads. The room is large, overlooking the garden. The room has a large double bed, bedside tables, a sofa, two tables, a good TV (you can download it via your phone and watch whatever you want via Wi-Fi), a refrigerator, a kettle, a safe, a hairdryer, an iron and ironing board, an umbrella, two wardrobes , large mirror, clothes dryer. The bathroom is large. There is a shower and a bath, a large mirror, one sink, and a toilet. Lots of towels (soft, snow-white). Shampoo, conditioner, shower gel are provided. Soft bed, 4 pillows, large blanket, snow-white bedding set. Only bottled non-carbonated water is provided in the room. Minibar for an additional fee. The hotel area is green and well-groomed. Lots of sunbeds. The towels on the beach are snow-white. Drinking water is provided free of charge. 2 swimming pools (one large with an area for children, and a separate one for children!) On the territory there are 3 restaurants. One for breakfast, the second in the large pool area is open until 12 at night, you can eat there at any time. There is also a bar. The third restaurant is open during dinner. There is no need to reserve tables (the food is very tasty). We go for dinner every day and are satisfied. I would like to thank the hotel employee Katya!!, she told us everything about the restaurant menu in detail and gave recommendations (it’s very nice when there is such an employee who you can always turn to). Katyusha is kind, positive and sympathetic ❤❤❤!!! The room was cleaned, thank you very much. We will definitely come back again😊😍😍😍

I recently booked two rooms at this hotel and at the time of booking and staying I am an ambassador elite member

Prior to our arrival, I was contacted by the loyalty Manager Khun Mook regarding time of arrival, room preference and so on. She kindly upgraded me to a suite which also had a connecting room for my parents so we could all enjoy the space of it by the suite.. this was fantastic. I have stayed at this hotel before and on entering the suite there was some cookies and dessert as well as some drinks and lots of lettuce or cards welcoming us back along with balloons on the wall with a big welcome back sign.
Khun Mook also gave us some drinks vouchers to enjoy so we started off with an amazing experience

Unfortunately, my father was unwell and we had to take him to Bangkok hospital . Thankfully, he is on his recovery but every day the staff would ask him and I how he is doing. They wrote him a Catwell card and a plate of fruit. which was very sweet.

We also had a lovely housekeeping lady taking care of our floor and our rooms. Her name is Khun Palm. We didn't need our room cleaned for the first few days and she left us a handwritten note in English saying that she would really like to do something for us and if we need anything to get in touch with her. She was very sweet.

We also had an amazing experience at the Thai restaurant . Khun Koy who I believe is the manager now and khun Stephen who works in F&B along with Katerina and khun Mama provided exceptional service. Our dietary requirements are a little strange in that two of us cannot eat chilies or spicy food but my father enjoys it very much.. the staff communicated with the chefs to make sure the dishes were perfect for us. The food was very tasty probably some of the best Thai food I've eaten worldwide and the ambience in the restaurant is also very nice..

At breakfast, we had a very personal and amazing service from chef Sak, khun Boom and khun Pond. All the staff greet all the guests very nicely, but these individuals went over and beyond in providing us with the food and beverage just the way we like it.. some of the items we request are not on the menu or buffet, but they are still very accommodating and with the great service meant to be started our day very positively.

Prior to arrival, I did receive an email regarding some renovation work taking place in the hotel this was mainly some room upgrades internally. Sending this email early was a thoughtful touch as it warns guests about some potential noise and allows guests to either cancel or change the reservation.. again prior to arrival, Khun mook reconfirmed with us that we were aware of the renovation plans. This is very thoughtful and actually what's staying at the resort? We didn't actually notice much noise at all. I was booking was initially for five nights but we enjoyed it so much that we extended it one more night to 6 nights.

Thank you very much to the Renaissance, family for taking excellent care of us and being so friendly and caring .

K. Young.

Relaxing with a friend. A hotel for a quiet, relaxing holiday. No noise, no unnecessary movement. The rooms are large, the beds are incredibly soft, the bed linen is fresh and ironed, the room is cleaned daily, of high quality, with pleasant little touches from the staff. Own clean beach. Excellent service, I didn’t have time to come to the pool, they brought a towel and water, all the staff are friendly, smiling, and can help with any question. Of the staff, I can especially highlight the employee at the pool R, he knows his job one hundred percent, the sweetest person, one glance in his direction was enough for him to understand that he needed to come over and help with something. Largely thanks to him, the holiday was as relaxed and easy as possible. I can also highlight the restaurant staff, excellent presentation of dishes, they can advise what to order and tell you in as much detail as possible what is from what. In general, I recommend the hotel to all those who are tired of everyday noise and just want to retire and relax. The rating is a solid five.

We stayed at this hotel for 14 nights half board, so we’ve given it a reasonable ‘road test’ to say what is good and not so good.

Let’s start with the good points:

1) Climate in Jan/Feb is wonderful at around 30-32c and not too humid. It didn’t rain at all during our stay.
2) Location of the hotel is peaceful and tranquil, situated on the edge (but not on) the beach. There are three other five star hotels nearby with a small (overpriced) boutique ‘village’ that serves the apartments/hotels. Phuket old town is an hour away and cost 1000 baht by taxi or 650 by the Bolt app. Can take longer in the rush hour.
3) The hotel rooms were refurbished some time ago but to a very high standard, with white marble floors and bathrooms with both a bath and a shower and are well maintained and spacious. Most have a garden view, given that the beach and the margins up to it are a national park.
4) Service is generally exceptionally good both in the restaurants and on the sunbeds. Sunbeds are plentiful and give 100 Baht (£2.50) to one of the guys will ensure your glass is never empty of chilled water. Although space around the pool is limited (see below) there is an extensive grassy area right next to the beach with big trees with plenty of dappled light to sunbath in if you are not up to the big burn.
5) The main restaurant (Takieng) is very good indeed with exceptional food and service as befits a 5* hotel, but see below..
6) Breakfast is in a lovely location and very good with a massive variety of options.

Now some less good points…

1) As mentioned elsewhere, the pool looks nice in the pictures but is really too small for the size of the hotel. There is a separate kiddies pool (which is wonderful, by the way) but is so far from the main pool that parents bring their kids to the main pool and therein lies the problem if you were hoping for a peaceful sunbath next to the pool.
2) In an evening, there is only two choices of places to eat. The second one being the ‘Sand Box, which as the name suggests has a sand floor and no air conditioning and not really fitting of a 5* hotel. The food is ok, and the staff make up for some of its shortcomings by being charming and attentive. They should repurpose the breakfast restaurant for the evenings as it is a better location, with outside and inside air conditioned options.
3) The sea is warm and lovely, but there are jellyfish that come and go and it was effectively out of bounds for half of our stay due to the risk of being stung.

In summary, would we recommend it? Yes I think we would.

Very nice hotel in a calm location, more suitable for relaxation, beach area very cozy, picturesque, grass, beautiful nature, lots of greenery, cozy and eye pleasing. The staff tries very hard, puts towels on the chosen deckchair, brings free drinking water with ice and lemon constantly, food and drinks from the bar are carried, free fruit is given, the service is at the highest level, a guy named R is very friendly and smiley, says hello and tries a little bit to speak Russian. Generally liked the staff at this hotel. The drinking water is sufficient, when they saw we had our own bottle of water, they started leaving us twice as much water. The only thing I didn't really like was the bed and the pillows, which is tough on me. And in general, we liked the hotel very much, we vacation in Phuket every year and live in three different hotels in one vacation, so that it doesn't get bored and only in five because I am very demanding for the service, but this hotel I recommend.

No, the planes pass on another beach near the hotel that is accessible from the hotel if you want to go to that beach for pictures. The beach at the hotel and the hotel do not have planes passing over it.
