We were made to feel most welcome. The room has very clean and fresh and the meal that was cooked for us alone was of a high standard and plentiful. I would recommend a stay however short as you will find it is a gem

We were made very welcome by Jason and Paul in this lovely french house. The room and bathroom were very comfortable and the breakfasts were really good. As this small hotel is also a restaurant we ate in every night of our 7 night stay. The food was excellent all cooked by Paul, the sitting room to which we retreated... More

We (a family of seven from 2 to over 60) ate here twice while we were in the area. The village of Carennac itself is a lovely medieval village with several restaurants so there's plenty of competition to keep up standards. We had lunch on the sunny terrace and so enjoyed it that we all came back for dinner on... More

My wife and I visited La Petite Vigne for lunch. The sun on the terrace and the look of the building enticed us to partake the 3 course lunch for €13.90. Food was excellent, service very good. I highly recommend this restaurant.

We stayed one night at La Petite Vigne. Jason and Paul are very welcoming hosts; they moved here 11 years ago and completely redid the building in very good taste. Just three bedrooms now; a fourth is in the works. The common space (living room/library) is also very nice; we sat here after dinner relaxing with a book. Dinner is... More

We stayed here for 3 nights in mid September and can't fault anything really. The rooms were clean, uncluttered and had fitted carpet which is pretty rare in France - but is a bonus for several reasons - it keeps the room warmer, it avoids a hospital visit after whizzing across the heavily polished floor on a rug and it... Jason and Paul have adapted a lovely old house in centre Carennac to provide excellent accommodation for visitors. The bedrooms are large and airy, and there is a well stocked library (in English) for visitors use, along with a splash pool in the garden. Paul is a superb cook and La Petite Vigne boasts a charming small restaurant on the... More

Carennac is a lovely little village which makes the most of its association with Fenelon. We were taking a (very) minor trip from Sarlat to Beaulieu and looking for somewhere for lunch. We stumbled across La Petite Vigne and were greeted by le patron who spoke excellent English (for a Yorkshireman). The four of us had the lunch menu for... More

What a little treasure this place is and a fantastic respite from two weeks in a campervan. The hosts were so friendly and welcoming and couldn't wait to share all their local knowledge with you.
