A cosy inn, comfortable, helpful friendly staff. The girl who booked us in also served us drinks, took our food order, brought our food, served our breakfast and also checked us out. A hard worker, who also took the time to write down instructions for my wife's shopping trip. The rooms need a revamp. Looking a bit tired but ok...

On arrival our basic room had no toilet paper and an old pair of men's boxer trunks were discovered in the wardrobe..not a good start.Outside the hotel there was a sign advertising for a chef..another bad sign..sure enough although the food was ok the wait for it was excessive. At breakfast we opted for the continental as we were warned...

I appreciate that during the Cheltenham festival there will always be supply & demand opportunities for hotels in a 20 mile radius of the course.....but PLEASE don't stay here!! The price vs the amenities is ridiculous. The staff were pleasant enough , and tried to veneer over the fundamentals that are lacking. The accommodation is circa late 1980, early 1990,...

We stayed here for a night, the room was quite small, a little outdated and the walls were quite thin, the bed was very comfortable, unfortunately there was a lack of hot water for the shower, but for a night it was OK.

Was taken here by my father in law for a pint. Have to say it's a lovely little place for a quiet pint. Served 'GEM' on tap which is a particular favourite. Bar staff were really friendly and helpful. Would visit again Around £3.30 a pint which is more than reasonable. Only complaint would be that the wifi available is...

Stayed for a week for business. The room was very basic and quite out of date but given the price it was ok. The breakfast was also basic but I wasn't too bothered as just quickly grabbing some toast and going. Bar was ok. Beer good. Not sure about food as didn't eat evening meal there.

Had an evening meal in the bar area which is full of character. The food was top notch. Two of us had the pies which were particularly good. I especially recommend the Gloucestershire Squab pie. My husband said the beef pie was excellent too. Every member of staff we encountered was lovely and extremely helpful, nothing was too much trouble...
