The restaurant is 5 stars, both for the price and for the food quality/sense of hygiene Hotel service (personnel) is 5 stars. Obviously it depends on who serves you, but we had a young guy who was all the time perfectly polite and professional. The rooms rate is 3 stars in my opinion. You can easily ear the steps of...

Really stunning hotel and our room was an annexe all of it's own - room (beautiful suite) 31 is well worth paying the extra. Views from room 31 are some of the best views of the Cotswolds I have ever seen. Peaceful, quiet, romantic location. Breakfast was easily the best breakfast I have ever eaten in any hotel, gorgeous, quality...

This over-used expression is spot on for this hotel. There is no reception desk: just a hand bell in the very spacious entrance hall with which to summon the staff. Even the original bell system used when the building was a grand private residence is largely intact. Staying at this hotel really is a bit like being a "paying guest"...

We used Burleigh Court Hotel for our wedding. The staff were excellent, very friendly, professional and helpful. They went out of their way to ensure that everyone had an amazing time. They weren't intrusive but were always on hand to provide whatever was needed from helping to pin on buttonholes to making the children jam sandwiches. The venue itself is...

A three day mid week break with friends in winter meant this hotel needed to be warm, comfortable and provide a base for exploration. It achieved all this and then surpassed itself with faultless cooking and excellent service. The dining room deserves to be placed on a high priority list for anyone interested in great food, from the canapes before to...

This is the 3rd time we have used this hotel for family celebrations. This time it was as a surprise for my "special" birthday. We had a mixed party of 16 from 10 weeks to 82! The hotel staff made sure everything was great and we had a room to ourselves for lunch. The food was excellent especially an assiette...

My partner and I stayed here back in the summer on our way home to Cambridgeshire from a holiday at Cricket St Thomas in Somerset and in order to meet up with friends who live in Tetbury. Upon arrival we were quickly checked in and shown to Room 5, a lovely light, airy corner room with views from the front...

My Husband and I stayed here for one night to celebrate his birthday. Despite some comments regarding difficulty in finding the Hotel we had no problem at all. The Hotel itself is beautifully presented and well maintained. Dinner was excellent, and breakfast was very good. The staff are very efficient whilst not intrusive. Our room had magnificent views and also...

My wife & I stayed here for 2 nights last week as a base for visiting Slimbridge WWT & have to say that we were not 'knocked out' by the experience as others seem to have been. It's a lovely place with wonderful views over the Stroud valley (only partially spoiled by a huge tree which really needs lopping -...

We stayed here at the end of a ten-day trip to the continent, breaking the long journey from Bruges in Belgium to our home in Pembrokeshire. We chose it because of its proximity to Slimbridge, where we spent the next morning before resuming our homeward journey. The hotel and its restaurant have received mixed reviews from TripAdvisor visitors, so we...
