We had a pleasant one night stay at the Ragged Cot; value for money wise it was excellent. We chose not to eat dinner at the Inn as the reviews were a little hit and miss and we fancied comfort food. We did however have breakfast, and this was great. Reason for the score of 4 - nicely decorated but...

If your going to fast you'll be disappointed lovely old inn with bags of unusual vintage charm , simple menu but well presented and cooked my partners prawn starter could have done with a bit more sauce? Both pulled pork and risotto for mains, tasty and again filling. Chocolate pot for her was the crowning glory to a lovely meal, Many...

Don't be mislead by the 'inn with rooms' pictures on the website, this is a very comfortable, stylish place to stay, with good food and surroundings. I don't know who lead the refurbishment a few years ago, but in my book they got the place spot on. The Inn has open wood fires, eat at the bar, a table in...

Stayed overnight at the ragged cott and in general we were very impressed. Evening meal was really good and well cooked. The staff very helpful and friendly. Rooms are fitted to a very good quality, clean and tidy. Only one small complaint! walls not insulated for noise. We could hear people in the next room talking and there bathroom fan...

I visited the Ragged Cot on the 28th December 2016 with my wife, sister and brother in law. We were shown to our table and provided with menu's. My sister asked what the soup of the day was, and the manager said he would enquire. Considering our table was booked for 2pm I feel sure that someone else would have...

Stayed here in room 7 a few days ago with one of my daughters, it was so beautiful. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, and our room was outstanding. We had meals there on both nights, and the food including breakfast was first class. The building itself is very historica, sol well worth reading about it before you visit...All...

Beautiful modern clean room. ( only one had a bath so book ahead) We had an evening meal in the restaurant which serves locally sourced dishes. Plenty of choice of whisky too.A peaceful night's sleep followed by a fresh cooked breakfast in the conservatory.

On a miserable gloomy day it was a real pleasure to walk into The Ragged Cot. The decor is very pleasant and comfortable and I would score it 9 out of 10. The food and service I would score 7 out of 10. Good but not exceptional. I had loin of cod with baked potato risotto and pickled mushrooms. I...

We returned to The Ragged Cot after 19 years for a special celebration with friends. It was really great. The service was excellent, a charming waitress who was so friendly. The food was very good indeed, well prepared and delicious. It was reasonably priced, and had a good wine list that was also sensibly priced. The bedrooms were very comfortable....

Went with my daughter. We had the steak and the Bbq pulled pork burger. What can I say except very yummy. The triple cooked chips was a touch boring and no salad with the burger. Great service, a touch pricey, but worth it. Would return again for sure.
