We managed to have our holiday in between lock downs and self isolation. This review is of a hotel in the middle of a covid epidemic. The hotel is self is not, its a holiday village with chalets positioned on a hilly site, there are some 300 + steps to get to the sea, no beach. After a few days of our holiday the services at the hotel were very hit and miss, after a meeting with the manager he agreed and then the services was as good as they could be during this very difficult time. overall this was a good holiday and it a good place to stay if you don't mind the hills.

We arrived at el dorado late at night couldn’t understand one word the woman at reception was saying only the fact she wanted some tourist tax off us more money to stay in a horrible kip It was dark out and the resort had about a thousand bungalows so we were left with our suitcases to find out shack ourselves we eventually found it to see the room was scruffy and freezing the walls looked like something from back in 1900s and the towels were like sandpaper spiders all over the walls and things crawling everywhere room was supposedly cleaned everyday but the sheets and pillow cases were dirty still and stuff was missing everyday when we went back to our room beware of thieves bring a lock if planning on staying entertainment was mediocre and not really great drinks were like diesel woke up in bits the one night I decided to drink at the bar the views were definitely the only nice thing about the whole stay I will not be back and the food was so bad also I went to get a glass of coke out of the bar and poured it only for a swarm of ants to be in the glass disgusting never again 👍🏻Not even worth the price and it wasn’t near anything we stayed on the resort for one day to use the pool which smelled like faeces

We stayed here for three nights after booking it last minute while staying at our family home on the island . Booked into the superior sea view rooms hotel staff all wearing masks Screens hand gel etc Very polite at reception. The rooms themselves have such fantastic views of the sea loved it . The only negative I can say is that the rooms hadn’t been cleaned thoroughly on arrival I think because we had booked it so last minute either the room hadn’t been checked properly or hadn’t been used this season as there was hair on the side and the floor needed a bit of a mop through and the toilet was loose on arrival but to be fair to the hotel the maintenance guy fixed it immediately and the lady cleaned through. But hey this happens I guess as I believe the hotel is operating on limited staff . Anyway those are the slight negatives . The all inclusive is superb food plentiful and varied all staff wearing masks when serving clients . There are three pools to choose from with again unbelievable views and a slide for the kids which operates between 12-1 and 4-5 . You can book pony and horse rides for the kids which I believe was 15 euros. The mini golf however needs fully updating or closed completely as it was all ripped . Entertainment staff did a good job considering there where only three of them . Bar staff attentive and we had to put masks on to be served inside which is enforced. We really enjoyed our stay here I think cause it was quiet we had such a good experience as I have no idea what it would be like in the height of a normal season. I would return here again 👍

Visited late September early October so missed the busy period but still plenty of other guests around but had the joy of a more peaceful stay. I Stayed with my partner in what we called the shack it's very basic but has every thing that's needed in it bathroom was a litte small but that's a minor as the bedroom was a good size. Choose of 3 pools so you can mix it up daily to suit your mood, one of which includes the horses quarters which is a little smelly but for thous of you that love horses it's great. Help your self to soft drinks when your poolside also a snak bar for inbetween meal times so theres no chance of getting hungry as theres a good selection of food at all meal times. Entertainment programme not bad, great if you have younger kids with you as they have a kids club daily with lots of fun things to do,your find tennis courts and crazy golf on site so are also a plus and if you fancy going to the towns the bus stop is just outside the entrance so not to hard to find. Only down point is how steep the complex is and going down the steps to the sea edge cause you've got to get back up them lol so if you have difficulty walking it's not the best place for you. Final thoughts on our stay is amazing views pleasant staff Good food And loved the shack (accommodation/room) We are returning this may 2020 with my 19 year old daughter so fingers crossed we have the same if not better experience then on our last visit.

I've been to this place 3 times before it's well worth paying the extra when you arrive for the new ones at the top of the place. It's well worth going down the steps to swim with the fish unbelievable for a little snorkel. The staff were great when I was there going back next year so I'll be able to do a comparison then and I'll write another review. Don't expect a luxury resort because that's not what this place is, it's great if you have children as loads of stuff to do
