I was looking for some rest and relaxation. I found it here. My room was private(number 7), the facilities were excellent and I felt a million miles from anywhere. It is close enough to beaches and coastal walks to connect with nature. I saw about a dozen dolphins. I enjoyed cooking my dinner in the shared kitchen and chatting with...

We hired the entire YHA for our end of season trip. It was perfect for what we needed. People had their own cabins to chill out in, there were groups hanging out in the pool, kitchen and den! Mark and Sandy were so friendly in all their correspondence and were quick to respond. For what we needed the setting was...

This hostel is situated in bush land where you may be lucky to see wild koalas walking around. The hostel was built by the owners and you can see the love and passion that they have for the hostel. It has an outdoor bush kitchen which is unique and a great area to meet other guests. It has a nice...

Had a lovely stay here for 4 nights. Had a private ensuite room, in a bungalow although dorms are also available. It's set in a lush little oasis so is very peaceful and serene. Bush kitchen too which gets visited by possums and kookaburras (so watch your food!). Has a swimming pool and games/TV room. Not like your usual YHA....

It has everything you need, a great friendly/family atmosphere, very easy to meet new people, all the amenities you could want with an amazing swimming pool and even possums and Kookaburra's joining you for your dinner and breakfast (and if your...

We came to Port Stephens for a weekend on a tour from Sydney and left 4 months later! The hostel is in such a beautiful area that it really does feel like you're in paradise. The cabins all have their own showers and toilets and the dorms are really clean. Mark and Sandy make you feel so welcome and at...

Can't rate my experience at this hostel highly enough. We arrived on a Saturday morning expecting to stay for a two day tour in Port Stephens, four months later we still hadn't left! Initially we loved the place because of the chilled 'at one with nature' vibe. When we arrived we were greeted by Sandy who was so warm and...

We stayed here two nights, and although we were not there much it is a very unique place and the people are super friendly. The jungle setting is wonderful, plenty of spiders around so prepare for that, but it was a great place to stay.
