Super hotel with very friendly staff. Clean rooms and the food is superb. A great base for exploring this part of Scotland. Would highly recommend it if you want a peaceful, relaxing stay. Stopped at this hotel with a friend enroute to Ireland to collect a WW2 Willis jeep. The hotel is brilliant, old but clean and the staff are out of this world. Huge car park for all size vehicles....a bonus. After checking in we made our way to the bar where al the staff were having a quiet break. Never laughed...

Sunday Lunch at The Carvery. Excellent quality and quantity with choice of 2 or 3 courses at a reasonable price. Local food, home made soup, and fresh vegetables. Beef or turkey. Choice of deserts. Friendly and helpful staff. Quiet and clean dining room. Adequate free parking on site.

We stopped for one night at this lovely hotel, owners and staff are great and make you very welcome, rooms are very small but have all you need for a night or two, bar is comfortable and quaint but stick can's or bottles the beer on tap can be strange.
