We stayed here on 25th and 26th November in the Queensbury room. The room is large, and decorated to an authentic, and very high standard. The bathroom is fabulous boasting a huge walk in ceiling mounted rain shower, and a spacious bath. Embossed towels and bathrobes are even accompanied by a B and Q A facecloth. There are lots of...

Just had a family lunch here & unfortunately the majority found it very disappointing. We have been before and find the surroundings lovely - very nicely decorated with a cosy feel. The good however was not as enjoyable. Those that chose the fish pie struggled to find much in the way of fish & likened it more to a chowder...

This restaurant has been transformed by the recent multi- million revamp and remarketing activity. The ambience and decor are inviting and comfortable, the menu commendably short and the food very tasty and well presented. Pricing is ok - steak from their farms is a tad expensive - and is good value. Overall quite impressed with this place. Will see if...

We were lucky enough to stumble across this lovely self contained cottage with modern fittings and facilities, which is part of the hotel, at short notice. Allister was great at helping to get us settled and we really enjoyed our stay here, and we look forward to another opportunity to stay again! Rarely have we found places with this quality...

Stayed here to break our journey up Oban, we had booked in with our dog and were given a lovely cottage at the back of the hotel with it's own courtyard which we could cut through to the back of the hotel. The cottage was very smart with a very comfortable kings size bed, shower room, kitchen and lounge. The...

We recently stayed here for an unscheduled stop off after a delayed flight, what a fantastic find! Beautiful little cottage, all the fittings were brand new and every need was taken care of, comfortable, clean bed and furnishings. Food in the restaurant was lovely and the staff were very helpful. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat.

Lovely old building in the center of Thornhill and a good stopping off point when heading further north/south. It has been nicely refurbished and modernised with comfortable nicely decorated rooms and great bathrooms. A small but excellent choice of food that was very well prepared. Service was friendly but a bit hit and miss and the staff in the restaurant...

My wife & I stayed here for two nights in the middle of a two week motorcycle tour of Scotland, Northern England and Wales at the end of July 2016. Our room was on the top floor of the three storey hotel and there was no lift so, for those of you not so nimble make sure you're not up...
