My mom and 10 yo wanted to check out the island before we dive with Oslob's whalesharks the following day. To get to Sumilin island and Oslob Cebu more conveniently, we flew out from Manila to Dumaguete and just took the ferry across to Cebu. We then proceeded to Bluewater Sumilon's private dock where we waited for the boat (there's...

At last, I had a confirmation from hubby that we will be tagged in this trip. Oh well, the almost 5-hour trip from the city is all worth it. But this loooonngg trip already includes the unlimited stop over, fun, fun and fun! =) Hubby and I decided to board in our own car so we could have us-time. {Big...

This is my 1st island stay experience. I would love to stay longer but it's over priced.Food was okay. I don't mine splurging money once in awhile on this kind of experience. I love the sea clean/clear water. The reception is great, very accommodating with my needs. Please include me in your promo list, I surely will consider another trip...

Sumilon is a small island in the southern region of Cebu now a sister resort of Maribago Bluewaters at Mactan. A 10-minute boat ride brought us with a few other passengers to the Western Dock of Sumilon Island, also known as “The Sandbar.” We were brought to The Pavilion, which served as both the front desk and restaurant. Just before...

The island is gorgeous, the rooms are nice enough, but for the price you pay for an overnight stay (premiere room plus a glamping tent), the service orientation and the food is lousy. I've stayed in similarly priced resorts that treats you as a valued guest. Here, you are made to feel like nothing more than a daytripper (which they...

Booked 2 villas for 4 people. Our rooms have 2 reasonably sized beds that could actually accommodate 4 people each room. The rooms are very spacious esp the bathroom. The views from our villas # 3 & 4 was beautiful. Other reviews I've read complained about the wifi connection and food. Thankfully the management has resolved both these issues. Wifi...

Food is overpriced and terrible. Beach is open to public and that was the most disappointing part -especially for the price you have to pay, you would expect for the WHOLE ISLAND to be private. So many jeje's

Beach is amazing, but that's about it. In my point of view it's a bit overpriced for the service. Food is average, area around the pool and restaurant is loudly and the whole resort is quite small so I would say for one day it's perfect. First transport is at 9am

Website offers a vey inviting place to unwind and true enough the place was beautiful but wait till you get served at the restaurant! They are so expensive! Fish and meat were all frozen. And we expect fresh catch when the place is sorrounded by islands. We have to take the boat service to the mainland (twice a day) just...

I didn't get to stay at the actual resort. But one of the attractions of the island is their sandbar (still under the management of the resort) which could be seen during lowtide and gives a cool blue water view during high tide. There is a bamboo fence that separate the sand bar area from the actual resort. There are...
