A truly beautiful location literally in the middle of nowhere.
If you want zero noise and complete tranquility then this is the place to go !
The manager was very accommodating on day 1 and recommended a restaurant for dinner nearby which was perfect.
This really was a bargain luxury stay. We got a last minute deal for 72€ on a Friday night and pretty much had the place to ourselves. We would have stayed an extra night but they were booked out for a wedding party.
The hotel was in a very quiet setting, next to huge greenhouses although this did not detract from the beauty of the chateau. The staff were friendly and the only problem we had during our stay was the wifi was not very easily accessible.
A two night stay in this small modernised Chateau which was formerly a Priory. Immaculately clean and bright there is a heated pool and a games room.
Breakfast was very French but was first class in every way.

If you want a basic pizza or other type meal go to Maran which is about 10km away. The main road is busy with boarded up shops but there are a number of restaurants along the river which are very cheap and fine. Auberge de la rivière is close with a lovely situation and great walks nearby. We didn't eat there but other guests said it was excellent but not cheap. The chateau is wonderful, lovely, lovely location and great staff. We ate on the terrace with food we bought from the supermarket on our second night. We bought a bottle of the chateau wine which was excellent and it was wonderful. I almost want to keep this place a secret it was so good.
