Flew to Punta del Este on Austral's once weekly flight from Buenos Aires for the express purpose of seeing Casapueblo and Los Dedos. Casapueblo was the first stop. Most people who stay at Casapueblo rent a car to get there due to its isolation. We took a taxi from Punta del Este airport, which cost 500 pesos. Front desk and... More

One of the nicest places to visit in Punta del Este. The architecture is amazing! The hotel is built within the rocks and it looks just like Greece islands... really incredible. The best part of the hotel is the view and the peaceful ambience, surrounded by the sound of the sea. The hotel is not modern so don't expect luxury... More

It's rare I give a Poor rating, and I didn't necessarily want to this time, but anything more would be dishonest. Perhaps Casapueblo was great in its day, but its day is gone and no one seems to be trying to bring in back again. The reception area is very nice in a shabby chic way, which made us hopeful.... While on a tour of Uruguay, we drove by this lovely old cliff-hanging Moorish home/hotel. It took 36 years to finish. Carlos Paez Vilaro owned this home. He was an artist. We did not have an opportunity to stay there so I do not have any thing to say about the interior.

The best value Casa Pueblo has is the sunsets every evening. We enjoyed dawns at the restaurant drinking clericot overlooking to the ocean.... Paradise. Customer service was good but because of the high prices we paid it was nothing special. We had a great time!

For anyone looking to enjoy the beaches of Punta del Este without being part of the high rises, this hotel is perfect. Its located 15km from the "city" and you can get to and from any of the beaches easily with a car. The people are amazing at this hotel. There are signs of wear and tear and certain areas... More

We had a " suite" for 500€ for 2 days... It's a rip off. Uncomfortable beds, air conditioning in the living room only, bad smells, disgusting breakfast etc... Fortunately Maria Noelle, the receptionist was so kind and so professional with us even if she was not able to improve our stay. It's too bad because the building is amazing and... More

We were so excited to go visit this museum but after seeing the entire museum in 10min our excitement was gone. It's pretty isolated specially if you're staying in la barra. Its a far drive. The restaurant has I believe 3 options. More like appetizers than anything else. It took a long time to get fries... not sure why. The... More

This is an exclusively different and peaceful place to enjoy and relax in Uruguay. It offers isolation, solitude, silence, a unique stand in front of the sea, nature and most romantic sunsets. Summer may be ideal, but it is worthwhile in all seasons. The unusual and exotic architecture cascading on the rocks besides the sea was built by prominent local... More

The place is amazing, a trully piece of art. With an incredible view! Having this, is unforgivable to have such a bad service. -extremely old home appliances... we were afraid to turn on the kitchen thinking it was gonna catch on fire. -they tell you to do the dishes, otherwise they charge a penalty fee ( 80 dolars); that would...
